Off Topic / Re: Judge Dredd here we come.........

Christ... the comments section is the usual jolly read. "When will we DO AWAY WITH HUMAN RIGHTS and bring back THE WHIP? I'd love to see some greasy foreigners and uppity children have the flesh torn from their backs by a few well-placed strokes of THE LASH. Anyone who thinks differently is A DIRTY YOBBO, RRRAAAARRRRGGGHHH I HATE ALL HUMANITY EXCEPT MYSELF WITH A PASSION THAT YOU CAN SCARCELY DREAM OF etc etc etc"

"The Light 3000" - Schneider TM
"If You Could Read My Mind" - Gordon Lightfoot
"Aquarius" - 5th Dimension

And more, since it's looking like another 3am-er.

Choke! You mean the power of precognitive dreams has failed me?

Prog / Re: Prog 1500

I actually had a dream involving Prog 1500 last night. I seem to remember the bulk of it was taken up by full-colour painted Red Seas, with seven consecutive scene-setting double-page spreads, and there was a new kind of one-off in it that was mostly words.

It's the first time I've dreamed of reading a comic in months.

Error Of Judgement does have the best Next Prog ever:

"This man is a judge. He's just been the victim of a grevious bodily assault. This man is also a judge. He did it."

Greatest era... I think the "what's in the box" episode of Bad Company is the prog I've most eagerly awaited. That had Sooner or Later in it too, which was likewise awedome...

Film & TV / Re: Spoilers - New Who, Old Villai...

Sorry if I was misinterpreted - I don't mean to say that that news item shouldn't have been linked to, just that the 'shocker' it's referring to doesn't seem like that big a deal to me.

Big deal. We already knew he was a grandad.

Since the Doctor's aimlessly good I thought he made a nice match. They're both a couple of cosmic joyriders zipping around space and time meddling with stuff.

Film & TV / Re: The Hulk?
17 July, 2006, 05:55:03 AM
The Hulk has about six origins in that. How hard can it be to do an origin for the Hulk? Here's how you do it:

MAN.

BOMB.

BOMB EXPLODES.

HULK SMASH.

And that's it. Not faffing about with frogs and god knows what. MAN. BOMB. BOOM. SMASH.

Terrible news. He set the standard and will be sorely missed.

Be careful what you wish for, Paul. Sorry.

Okay...

SPOILERS FOR NON-SUBSCRIBERS

He doesn't actually get to press the universe-saving button. The alien ambassador warns everyone about something that could happen at any time on page 4. It actually happens on page 5. That's it. That universe gets wiped over and replaced with our own, with a semi-amusing punchline. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I don't have a copy of the finished article yet so I can't really comment beyond that.

Thanks for all the good press on Go-Machine! Good to know people are enjoying it so far.
