General / Re: Prager for a solo strip?.........

I had half an idea for a multi-parter floating about that involved a doomed war between the Undercity and the city above... had Prager or someone like him as Chief Judge of the Undercity and King of the Big Smelly... he'd start every month with a death combat for rulership. You'd have this wierd feudal structure that was dying because the city above was concreting over all the manholes they used to scavenge, and this wierd honour thing meant they had to go to war even if they were slaughtered... you'd have this ideological conflict between the judges who'd been down there long enough to go native and keep the peace by the laws of the Undercity, and the newbie narrator who'd just taken the hike down there.

Anyway, now I'm cannibalising that idea for spares! Har har! Watch it squeal as I ripe out its liver... that will make a tasty scene in a future shock!

As with the other compo thread, I'm extending this by 1 week

a) because I'm hoping for some last-ditch straggler entries...
b) I'm rushed off my feet today.

It's well worth it for a big pack of comics. Noah Angel is running away with it so far.

Two competitions at once? Dear lordy!

The year is 1966 and William Dozier needs a new twice-weekly series for ABC TV. On a transatlantic flight, he flicks through a comic containing a law enforcer in a skintight costume with various hi-tech gadgets... who took up crimfighting at a very early age... operating in a strange, fantastic city... with a sidekick twenty years younger than himself...

ZAP! POW! Adam West IS Judge Dredd - IN COLOR!!

Give me the definitive sixties camp TV Dredd by June 15 - and walk away with a selection of twenty random comics! Holy Hall Of Justice, Chief Judge Gordon!

That'd be the newspaper equivalent of Whizzer and Chips.

Actually, when I read the Guardian I was always fairly impressed by the variety of opinions they printed in their comment pages.

His Dredd is very scarred and bashed about, which is a nice thing to occasionally acknowledge - that he's been doing the job for over 45 years and has had all his skin burned off at least once in that time...

I'd give ROGUE TROOPER: NO TIME TO TALK to kids. And many other Beat Girl Productions such as BEATNIKS A-GO-GO, THE MADNESS OF DOCTOR MADNESS and THE ULTIMATE FUTURE SHOCK. All of which should be available at Bristol...

...actually, is 'Future Shock' a copyrighted phrase?
