Help! / Re: Hovok

It wasn't a 2000ad strip as such, more an advertising feature for the Havok series.

It was a small, as in four page, pull out colour comic which ran for around 6-8 weeks IIRC and featured a different group of the opposing forces each week.

There was also a supplemental magazine given away with 2000ad detailing the various forces and their commanders.

"When the guillotine falls, it slices through a tensioned piece of dowel-rod, which nudges a nearby hammer, which falls and switches-off the powerdrill at the wall."

Jeez! Who was this guy, Wilf Lunn?

Yeah you're all laughing now, but you won't be so clever in the morning when Wake tells you to put it all back the way you found it.

Ah, remember that logo? No? Well why would you, it's fooking crap! It's like an accountant designed it isn't it. Purely functional with the minimum amount of fuss and no unnecessary frills.

Any way, here's the one I like 979, mainly because I'm a sucker for the old "Boy meets girl, girl blows boy to crap with a devastating array of weaponry" story.

Spesh' mentch to 965

And as a final thought, don't you think that Dredd looks like he's made of diarrhoea on prog 994? And how ironic that it should feature the tagline: "Many unhappy returns for Sinister/Dexter?"

"Perhaps I'll buy some of your dreams."

You may need to give me some time to sort them from reality...

Over the Moon? Not yet in fact it may take me some time. I have in the meantime decided that offline readers of 2K or the Meg, whichever really it's not important, should be given the chance to see and read the excellence that is Paul and Oliver's "That Wonderful Mr Moon". It's far too good to remain here on the site and should be seen by every 2K fan the world over.

Time for a poll I hear you cry, although that may just be "Little Mo" who lives in my head. Now not being one for polls I thought I'd leave it to someone else to do, DXB perhaps? He seems to be adept at that sort of thing. Anyway, voice your opinion here and do your thing.

You should have kept reading Rac. They all rise again on the third day.
