Guys for the relative newbie here-is the material covered by Dredd case files 20 good stuff or a continuation of the relative dross of the previous few volumes?

Ta as always.

Fingers crossed then.
I think that if it hits the stands on Thursday and has a consistent schedule from then on things should still be salvageable.
We may be sitting on an online forum dedicated to Strip in 30 years time!

It would be great to see it firmly established.

It would be a bonus if subscribers got their issue around the same time as it hits the stands. There was a fair interval with the last one which if un-rectified would mean lack of renewal on my part and presumably on the part of other subscribers.

Good god noooooooo!!!!  The man is an arse.  Just done series 2 of case histories with him, he'd MURDER the part.  So far up his own arse it's unreal.

How so/How know?

On reflection Jim and Colin's posts both state the obvious interpretation which often manages to escape me.

Good luck to the guys making the statement. I would love to see Strip thrive.

"As our publisher is now on his way to the UK to sort this, among other things, we're unable comment further without going around in circles. We've been as open as we can about the situation: we don't like the situation: comments stating the obvious are pointless."

Statement just up on their facebook. Not sure what to make of that.

It's a right head-scratcher when creators like Jim don't know what the problem is. I have been very excited by Strip and vocal in my support and would dearly love to see it firmly established. John Freeman (great guy) also deserves anyone's support but the waters are getting increasingly muddy.

I would love to see it pull out of its tail spin. Here's hoping.

After destroying the last one in a fit of pique/boredom I have started a new drawing blog, recently started a new job which hopefully means more time to get back into drawing again. Come visit comments and critique and general friendly abuse welcome.

Enjoyed visiting that fella.

That's what I thought Jim and on that basis thought the core problem had been addressed.

"Gah" indeed.

Cool - thanks for the up-date. That comic is cursed!

I was really hoping that phase 2 would bring a new dispensation but Strip is seemingly still struggling with all this.

I love the mag but its proving to be very difficult terrain for Strip out there.

Prog / Re: Prog 1830 - Gunheadz

Gunheadz perfectly represents why I left superhero comics behind a couple of years ago and returned to the prog for the first time since my 70's childhood. Not everything in 2000AD floats my boat to the same extent (which I suspect is common-place) but the innovation and originality that marks the prog has re-ignited my thrill circuitry.

Yup subs arrived. I am very much liking the issue. its obviously pitched with a bit of a younger audience in mind but I can still really enjoy the story-lines.

No Strip yet for this subscriber. For some strange reason I thought the subscription delivery service would be firmed up with the new dispensation as well. Looks like the slow boat to China service that marked phase 1 is still in place.

Any subscribers got their copy yet?

Flicked through the issue in my local, well stocked and well advised newsagents today (Banbridge Norn Iron) and thought the issue looked great.
