Mark Miller doesn't write the kind of things that I usually like to read but his dialogue is, in general opinion, well done, quite funny and natural. In real life, I don't know but I have experienced and heard good things. I see him jumping about Glasgow a lot as he runs an epic monthly horror film night and he is always a very nice, funny, charming guy. Also very disaffected, didn't even attend the Kickass premier as it was his kids parents evening *queue the awws*. Also I have to stand up for him as I was very rude to him one time and he was very nice and funny about it. Dirty jokes but lolol all the scottish writers get censored a ridiculous amount... and usually for good reason! *cough cough* the Grant/Quitely Lobo story comes to mind which I need to read at some point x

mik oh yes perfect blue! I haven't seen that in years but now that you mention it yeah a bit. But perfect blue has a better, darker plot. Swan lakes perfect as it is and if I'd been asked how it could be improved pills, lesbians and wanking in front of mothers would *definitely* not have been my answer. God portman your glory days of leon are well and truly behind you x

wow buttonman 250/250 that's some severe film buffitude going on there... You free for a pub quiz lolol?!

129) The artist - its really just a shitter version of sunset boulevard but good enough.
137) Black swan - its really just a shitter version of swan lake but good enough.
151) Warrior -its really just a shitter version of rocky but good enough.

Hmm I'm sensing a pattern... Beauty and the beast though - one of the best disney films - though your possibly not the target market.

I agree on the pretension front and some of these films just *arent* the best, but merely non offensive eg the prestige. Good film but I have it on dvd and still aren't in a rush to rewatch it. Eternal sunshine same, I love michel gondry and it was a good film, but not top 100 good.

Emperor Up is good though I found it a little too long and the 3D made my head hurt. Dvd wise... all the best horrors and all the best martial arts. No jackie chans armour of the gods??? Love that film. Then I have a few of the darker 'classics' but between myself and my sunnier flatmate we have about 60 or so of these x

I might deliberately go up to him with a donut say "this is from Dawn Mathieson" and eat it. Eat the whole donut right in front of him.

Foxlol, I did indeed eat a whole jam donought in front of the man, never explained anything, just eat it and left.
Just saw this and LOL. You are so mean. Gary's a very nice man who goes out of his way for 'da fans' at every opportunity and it is such a shame that you wouldn't do the same for him ;) and when hes been so gracious to judge the caption contest this week. hehe Just teasing yahs its all cool. Gary's ma pal and I couldnae make his wifes birthday and thought he might be in need of some general cheering up but ill do it myself next time I see him :) 'somebody up there likes you' is a bowie song on his fave album and we are music pals and no really comic pals bizarrely and in reflection my post sounded crazy stalker so im not surprised you didnt x

I'm sorry to hear that TB *hugs* it's always sad to lose a loved one, and especially regretful if it could have been prolonged. I shall definitely see a Dr to avoid misfortune via stubbornity (should so be a word) but yeah TB im the same - ive only been to the Drs over one thing and that turned out to be very serious.

emperor you trying to scare me lol! i like all my extremities just where they are thankyou very much! :O I have to keep a good diet as unfortunately not blessed with the eat whatever genome. No less than 1200 and no more than 1600 calories a day, fish for *at least* 1/3 meals and a multi vitamin pill every morning and no this isn't a 'diet', just a healthy lifestyle choice counterbalance for all the binge drinking. sleep hmmm i do nights and day shifts so I have shittest sleep pattern ever but I don't really get a choice on that as I am a slave to The Man and all that jazz.

hey Byah hows it going? That must have been terrible news to hear and yes instinctive googlitis im sure. Well up until recently I though getting the shakes when you haven't eaten anything was normal but im now finding out that it is not normal, and in fact, most people seem to think justifies charging the every day tax payer whatever extortionate amount per appointment it is. So consider me exempt from blame when your tax comes off this month x

edit for blocks...
oh roger I think you might be right as I hear arseholitis has negative health effects on those around them, even via the t'internets. What a shame there is no cure at this time.

aww joe you still stalking me <3 yes I may have to cos they are extortionate x

Music / Re: What's everyone listening to...?
07 April, 2012, 03:06:58 PM
Ennio Morricone, win! public enemy and ministry, win! but i agree with mudcrab that psalm69 cannot be beaten and they have never quite recaptured the glory. checmical bros, weekend win! Suicidal Tendencies, win! god they take me back <3 still sound best on cassette. I saw them play again in the past couple years doing an early day slot on a small stage at a music festival. napalm death + pogo-ing + ice poles = win. oh how my friends dismayed. Discordant, win! excessive use of the word win, fail! ;P

All the rest I shall have to get on the urm... entirely legal... downloads and gi them a proper bash.

At this exact moment in time.... The Birthday Party - She's Hit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7RI-07nm8o I absolutely love this track and The Birthday Party in general. I feed the Bad Seeds a little boring in comparison to this raw, anguish. Although I confess the Bad Seeds are still better than most music out there, to me its like Nick Cave's 'rents told him to have a wash and get a real job or he had to move out the attic. I am loving Nick Cave's current band Grinderman who sound pretty much exactly like a cross between The Birthday Party and The Bad Seeds imho. 'No Pussy Blues' being a particular gem and defo worth a listen at least once. This is a Later...jools holland version, fantastic 'tasche  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuDP7c3Zd8I

last fm - JudoBowie. But it only scrobbles stuff thats labelled properly, unfortunately no cassettes x

Someone at work did suggest diabetes but my philosophy is if the doctor doesn't tell you you have something then I haven't got that something. Although their son is having his kidneys out in May due to diabetes and having no donor as of yet..

Yeah mine too - if its not affecting my life to a significant enough degree then there's nothing wrong. I don't faint or anything so tempted to continue sticking fingers in ears and singing *lalala I can't hear you*. I think I shall psyche myself up to go and if I do ill let you know what the doc says since you most probably have the same thing.

Its s'all cool TB just hoping to god I drink too much caffiene x
