you guys are lols :) such serious boffins. If you won't accept that you won't ever do the science reserch to assertain its truth yourself and have to put your faith in others to tell you the truth then there's not much else for me to say but LOLS this thread. And your welcome for encouraging cyber to make a new thread mwahahahahahaha trollololol.

Also back on topic I have a new hair cut but cannae show you now cos I'm on a date so will show you laters x

lol richmond you make me smile. Just for you hunny ;) I don't declare anything as fact other than to get conversation flowing darlin ;)  cos I'm a philosopher babe, but don't tell anyone or it won't work. But I do like consise and correctly formed arguments regardless of 'truth'. Yes jon I very much agree, fuck even thinking about fate and truth cos its all a lot of bollocks. People will tell you a million things and its up to you to work out what to believe and what not to. Really just a matter of taste and IQ. But don't believe bullshit or at least analyse just how bull shitty the bull shit is first and always take your shit with a pinch of salt ;) x

I only really have 3 rating - shit, ok and worth watching. There's usually more polarisation in my reviews but all the films just now are very 'meh' x

its just the problem with any kind of reasearch, testing, statistics, experiments, analysis etc is that they all contain a certain amount of bias. Anything from small things like the wording in a questionaire or a tester tone of voice all the way to the out right fact that if the researchers can't prove the things they want they lose their jobs. You can't even say that the sun will 100% rise tomorrow, only that its 99.99999999999999999....9% going to rise. I'm in no way some crazy creationist or anything in a war on science, just so long as people think long and hard about things before accepting them as truth. Bring on the cyber revolution as we refine our knowledge further every year... Until our inevitable doom mwahahahahaha x[color]

QuoteYou guys view and post a lot for people with no apparent interest in this thread. Its very cute of you all, youre the original 4Chan. and FYI girls can use the same strategy for hot geek boys via pvc cat suits but apparently its totally sad that anyone would fancy someone dressed as a cartoon character so maybe im wrong. LOL LEEEEE x

I'm so old that I haven't no idea what half of this means. If you and CL2K start quoting each other and having a conversation online, I genuinely believe I wouldn't have a fucking clue what either of you were on about. Bless.
4chan = the most popular forum site ever and is famous for, well lots of things, but mainly people 'trolling'
Trolling = to deliberately post something antagonising, offence or insulting because its funny
FYI = for your information, used jokingly here due to lees sexist double standards as FYI is a miami girl type phrase.
Pvc = if you don't know what this is then I feel bad for you babe
LOL LEEEEE = forum user lee bates has made me laugh out loud due to his silly post. This is an example of trolling someone ;P

Anything else? X

I can move thread if you want but chat gets stale if you stick with the same threads sometimes. And besides, I'm not email subscribing to 'general threads' and I'm trying to stay in the loop :( x

Film & TV / Judos film reviews

I see pretty much all the films like SRSLY. Mainly because I get paid to watch them at work *as well as* just straight up lovin' films, film buff stylee. I'm often reaally fussy cos I see so many and after the first million they all feel samey - so YMMV and feel free to argue just an IMHO of the films oot at the flicks currently

Bel ami - 3/5 - robert pattison fucking everyone. Period drama. It was quite well done but i wasn't entirely sure what the plot was. This may be due to pattisons limited acting talent. Very much a book I think.

Project X - 3/5 - idea based on a true story of high school kid trashing his house having a party. Incredibly over the top but good enough for a laugh. Garden gnomes full of ecstasy, lots of pretty teens etc

The raven - :'( I'm not even rating this other than to say WTF. In a 1-3 rating way depending on offence taken to the rape of poe. John cusack was terrible as poe (he's just not right) and the who dunnit angle was very laboured. I guessed who it was but only by default. Dinghy this and go read pit and the pendulum cos that's like my fave horror story ever

Safehouse 3.5/5 - I did enjoy this and found it exciting and tense but a boring done to death plot. corrupt government agents names on microchip and ooh who to trust dn dnn DNNNN yeah whatever seen it a million times tv movie.

Wanderlust 3/5 - I may be being harsh here cos a lot of my friends thought it was hilarious but I dunno hippies and nudists etc are kinda easy prey imho and not exactly what I call stella wit to make fun of. Lots of ugly naked old dudes.

Woman in black 2/5 - It has been a long time since I saw this many b-horror cliches in one film. And I watch the horror/scifi channel films. Creeky rockin chairs, rattling door nobs, a marsh, creepy woman at window in back of shot, creepy things in photos, porcelin dolls... Like SRSLY I could keeping going. Harry potter daniel radcliff also in no way looks like he has a 4 year old son and works for a law firm. One for the 12-16 range.

I don't get to see 3d films cos a lot of autistic people don't like wearing glasses. Is anything else out I mighta seen it can't remember everyone of them sometimes x

QuoteI do a study that proves Y is X and tell you about it. You have no personal experience of Y or X other than this. Do you now know about X and Y? Well no. But you can you a certain amount of rational thinking to conclude that Y is probably X. Is 'probably' a pure truth? Again not really. But you can go test/analyse these things yourself to gain a 'purer' truth x

Has this study of yours been peer reviewed and published in a recognised scientific journal?
Because if it hasn't you can forget about it.
You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of how the scientific process works - but hey! You're able to throw in a few big words, so that's okay...
Yes darlin exactly! Then it becomes A and B and C say X is Y which becomes even more 'probably' true but unfortunately still not 'pure' truth ;) but don't worry darlin we can use foundationalism to breeze over the details and believe it all lol. Like umpteen important people and studies telling us that something is true, yeah just believe it cos the alternative is fucking chaos. Or QUESTION EVERYTHING! Its really a matter of personal choice trolololol XD x

Like did you know that some high percentage of heroin users tryed cannibis
Cannabis and heroin must be connected...
Oh yeah?
an even higher amount of heroin users ate bannanas when they were babies..
BAN BANNANA BABIES!!!!

Ah gotta love statistics for justifying anything you want ;P also I can't post pics from my phone and tbh I could be in any thread on any forum and I'd still intellectual troll for lols x

I'm not rebutting anything doll face, just playing devils advocate to get the chats flowing. Wishing I'd never said about making the same mistakes again now lol x

I'm taking about epistemology here pops and you misunderstand on a fundamental level and if you are going to troll with comments like 'a mouth full of wrong' then make sure you understand what I'm talking about

Ill try laymans terms because this is a novel or 2 to get into so sorry if its over simplified/too complicated...

science is belief system as it requires you to believe things beyond your own empirical and rationality - a certain amount is taking other peoples word for things - this is an appeal to authority - this is a fallacy - fallacies are not valid argument forms. Of course the difference is that it is much easier to turn scientific beliefs into valid knowledge.

Yes, as I said, I not wish to upset anyone with rational arguments, but yes god cannot know the choices one makes AND not know. My favourite favourite example is from the bible itself. Jesus, starving, comes across a fig tree but alas, it is winter.  Despite knowing that it is not natures way for the fig tree to produce fruit during winter, in anger Jesus smites the fig tree so that it may never again bear fruit. That's just says it all dunnit ;)

I'm sorry I end up yapping in any thread I join x

There's no such thing as 'fate' or 'destiny'.

It's just another fairy story to believe in like astrology, tarot cards, psychics, god, guardian angels and all that other codswallop designed to give comfort to the small minded.
Ah philosophy, what a sweet agony you are. Area - freewill.

This is hard for you to justify if you believe in science - the big bang theory, inductive principles... In fact the whole theory of laws of cause and effect! If every action has a reaction, our lives could just be one long series of causes and effects.

If you believe in christian religious principles (don't get me too going on this btw cos ill upset people with rational argument) then some kind of fate must exist. You cannot have an all knowing god and have free will - this is self contradictory.

The other solution to examine is that we are like a flowing river. Free, but only within the confines of our banks. Of course this explanation if wrought with problems as it attempts to reconcile 2 directly opposing ideas but hey, its the least depressing option :) x

pose in my underwear? Hahahahahahaha. No. Nice try but you are not my type lol

Enjoy your midlife crisis/opportunity as it allows you to think that maybe if you had it over you would have done it all differently... When in fact the saying goes... 'If I had all the money I've spent on drink again, I'd spend it on drink...' ;) x
