Actual Bill proper Sienkiewicz's real cover for the totally authentic Big Numbers issue 6. The Sink says he produced covers for the series in advance, so there are another 3 unseen masterpieces out there*

USD 4,500, if you're looking for a last minute Christmas present:

* Held by Kevin Eastman, apparently. Part of the mammoth early-nineties acquisition spree that saw him use Turtles cash to commission comics from anyone who had ever picked up a pencil.

Steve Yeowell posts the black and white art to each episode of Sinister Dexter on his Facebook page. This seems to answer the question of whether the colouring is responsible for the 'blurry' effect noted here in previous weeks.

This appears to be a result of Yeowell's adoption of a pencil effect* and, sometimes, the use of two identical fine lines very close to each other, as if they were made with two pens taped together.

* The 'effect' might just be actual pencil, for all I know

Only read your titles and misinterpreted the brief. Never mind.

You can hack into it here.

That's brilliant! To complete the effect, I'm wearing very small glasses and I've bleached the tips of my hair.

Hmm. Someone has said my image isn't appearing, and that I have posted a blank message in the Advent thread.

I linked to it in BBcode from IMGR, and I can see it. Is anyone else not able to view it?

I can see it fine. Probably just your friend's browser acting up:

Nice use of Shako and the Doghouse, but I don't get the two-headed sheep reference?

Interesting to see John Smith's Indigo Prime edge out more predictable top-tenners like Zenith and Bad Company - strips that make it onto character montage covers alongside the holy trinity.

Cheers, Eamonn.

(she) appeared to be dressed as a vicar of the Church of England. In doing so, it gave undue credence to her views, in the same way it would if they had introduced her as a doctor, or professor, or knight of the garter

I'm really not sure that's true. Maybe in 1950.

Sex God era Simon Bisley and Pat Mills featured in a 1990 BBC Omnibus documentary on the Green Man that I missed and have been trying to find for the best part of thirty years.

The Biz hits at the 20 minute mark, Mills from around 17m. You see Bisley working on what I assume is a recreation of the Slaine page where it looks like Slaine's going out like Michael Hutchence with Broccoli on his head.

The technique he's employing looks like his regular working practice, though - fast, rough lines laid down in thick, black felt tip with layers of paint built on top: https://youtu.be/K7kR-_iTRUw

Thanks to Lisa Mills and Dan Cornwell for finding and sharing this

We don't know why Dupre was killed. Maybe she became radicalised off-screen and Chief Judge Volt decided to have her pre-emptively killed ...

Anything's possible in the exciting world of fan fiction, but that didn't appear to be the character's direction of travel.

From leader of the Munce Spring to an off-page Fridging by my least favourite Dredd villain since Captain Strange. Maybe Vanilla Batcave will make a comeback.

Credits: Twilight's Last Gleaming, by Ennis & Burns (756), Revolution, by Wagner, Grant & Higgins (531), The Highwaymen, by TB Grover & Dillon (359), and the subtely named Politics, by Grant & Anderson (656), respectively.
