I would love IDW to do an artists' edition of some of the 2000ad series. It's a shame all the art has been split up into the hands of different collectors.

Didn't Dale have all of America? They could do one of that! :D

Or even the Horned God - I think one collector has most of that.

Yeah there have been some lovely pages recently - all too much for me to afford unfortunatly. But glad to see forum members are getting them :-)

In the excellent book the Art of Brian Bolland  (recommended reading) Brian recounts a tale from the late 70s where he went to the Daily Express office and bought some Jeff Hawke artwork from a couple of flunkies that had access to the store room where all the strip art was left. And the irony that a few years later a similar thing would be done to his art.

Great Idea for a thread. There are some lovely pieces on here already!

I know this is not an English artist but I'm guessing the Akira isn't either, anyway I just want to share this because I love it. The cover to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles issues 23 (original series).

:P

well done . This board may have started a new art style recognised down the ages known as the "Burdis Movement"...and Buttonman's right, of course it would be the first thing grabbed in an emergency (oo -er missus) as what's better - personally signed stuff from Karl Urban and John Wagner or this fine art piece?

Maybe if we send it to John Wagner first he will sign it.

Bless! This is the reply I had:

Hi Mark

It's not a print, its the original comic in a frame. The authenticity certificate on the back of te frame is signed but I can't read who it's signed by!

mandy

They must be disappointed that it sold for less than the RRP!
