I think the killer was the trailer. I know loads of people (non 2000ad fans) who thought the film looked Dreddful (sorry) after seeing the trailer. It was only when I forced them to watch that clip (because they really were soured after the trailer) that they said 'actually, that looks pretty good' and went to see it.

Ebay is a crazy place!

I wonder how big the concept of ebay regret is. I once had someone bid £200 on a rare dvd i was selling and then not pay. when it went to dispute he said that his baby son had bid on it by hitting the keys .  . . .

Just admit you went overboard!

£2 sent!

This is going to look fabulous on the wall! A real heirloom.

Although I think getting it sprayed onto the house is an idea of genius!

Am I the only one who would like to see Witch World reprinted? That started shortly after I started collecting 2000AD so it's one thats always stuck with me. Unfortunatly it ended on a mini cliffhanger that never got resolved  :(

They could get Gordon Rennie to write the ending as a text story :D

I just ordered the collection from the 2000AD online store that has an old story that really made
an impression on me as a kid called 'The Dead' about a race of super-evolved pink future humans. I can't wait for
it to arrive - I don't remember that much about it and I keep hearing it's flawed and not that great and blah
blah blah but I'm looking forward to revisiting it. I think Belardinelli might've done the artwork...

Seem to recall this was reprinted in Issue 21 of the Extreme Editions]

and the monthlys

One of my favourite - I love this story.

I had a look at this in Orbital comics and it looks nice, but does not contain anything I do not already have. . . .

If IDW had done an artists edition, now that would be amazing! If only the original art could be found!

Clint took it upon himself to recolour and in some cases rework his art. I don't think this was due to Rebellion, just he wasn't happy with his old work.

I would love to see the Pit all coloured buy one colourist - Peter Doherty would be perfect for that!

CBR News: Matt, first off, what's new over at the Nerve Center? Any "2000 AD" news to report?

Matt Smith: Lots going on licensing-wise -- expect to see more "2000 AD" merchandise being revealed in 2013, and we're expanding our digital publishing range, so more issues and graphic novels are going to be available to download. Next year we're celebrating a very special anniversary, so expect some big names to be returning to the comic to help mark the occasion.

Kincaid's not a big name, Belardinelli's no longer with us, Langley wouldn't constitute a return. McMahon would be incredible, but he seems to be concentrating on things other than strip work; Bisley, on the basis of his recent cover, isn't firing on all cylinders; Dermot Power seems happy doing film work; Pugh, Collins, Farmer, Garres, Murray, Bircham and Tappin didn't do their best work on the character; and Greg Staples will be busy on the Dark Judges.

Fabry it is!

I know something about this but I said I would not tell anyone. But it will be ace!

I never really felt that Halo Jones was not finished at the end of Book 3. It just seemed like a good place to end for me.

Horse for courses. I loved Simons 'School Bully' & 'Clockwork Pineapple'

Ugh!   ;)

Nah, not meaning to knock Coleby, he just really, really wasn't for me at the time, all those layers of corded muscles and right-angled chins (and that was just the women) - it was his Rogue Trooper: Saharan Icebelt War stuff that really soured me, and that wasn't all down to the art I can assure you.

Now, and for the past decade or so, he's a living god to me.

I was more trying to make the point that seeing artists develop in public might have been jarring at the time, but the current benefits of bringing all that talent to the comic are huge, and looking back at their development in these collections is fascinating.

I loved the saharan Ice belt stuff when I was a kid! :D
