Film Discussion / Re: DREDD reviews. (SPOILERS!)
23 September, 2012, 01:19:14 PM
Saw Dredd in 3D Friday night. Loved it. I loved the run down condition of Peach Trees block. It kept my attention from beginng to end. I loved the dark humor, action, and the banter between Dredd and Anderson. I've been hyping this movie up to friends and coworkers, seems that I've make no mistake. Even if we don't see part 2, I'm glad they gave this one.

I saw Dredd in 3D Friday night (Maryland). There were about 11 people, including myself. I bought the first ticket for the first showing.

Yesterday I saw my first Physical movie poster for Dredd and first commercial on TV. Just 19 more days.

I know I'm a little late with this, just a comment really. I'm a citizen of the US and a huge Dredd fan to boot. I can't wait for Dredd to come out in September and looks to put the Stallone version to shame.

I'm out of town right now and on vacation. I found a comic shop and asked if they had any 2000ADs. The said no. So I asked if they had any back issues, the night before I called the bought a collection from someone. So I went yesterday, the box look horrible and heavy with water damage. I opend the box and the were crisp and clean. So I bought about a dozen for a mere $1.00 a piece. I even got the 25th anniversary prog.

I'd love to have one. But its way beyond my budget. The only way for me to get one is to have a hundred people donate $35.

kid or uniform? ;)

yeah, 100 x £35 is not enough to raise a kid

(without them you could probably afford the Planet Replicas Manta Tank  ;))

Well actually thats 35USD. The cost for costume and helmet is 2270GBP, which is a mere 3561.86USD. Oh, the Manta Tank would be easier to control than a child.

Cheaper to shoot the dog, no?

(No, I don;t mean that!)

My life spugs at the moment because I woke up this morning to find both of my legs COVERED in itchy red welts. Went to take a shower and, to my horror, more appeared on my back and belly.

I'm thinking this is a reaction to something. I'm also thinking it ITCHES LIKE HELL!!!

Kinda sounds like bed bugs, more reasonably your theory than mine.

So I went to start working on my costume for the Pittsburgh ComiCon, found the dog had chew the power cord in half. Then, the dog again, chewed my digital camera, no longer works. Once again, the dog chewed my cell phone. So I've had to replace all three items within four months. For the total of $120 USD.

Last time I went to one I was too embarrassed to go up and ask any of the cosplay girls to pose for a photo with me but this time, fuck it, I don't care.

Photographs will be forthcoming!

I know exactly how you feel. I've felt like a perv asking for pics. Mostly becuase, they're young enough to be my daughter.

Get your name down early for a sketch - they're well worth it!

I'm only going for one day, but I'm hoping to get myself an Anderson sketch.

critter
good luck!
Barry takes ages to do sketches, which are not actually sketches but full paintings, so he's always worth it. But you need to get your name down first- there's usually something on his website.

Thanks for the heads up Richmond. I'll go now and see if hes taking request this far in advance.
