At work today there was a meeting and they encouraged everyone to attend. SO I go, even after sleeping for only a couple hours. To keep the company I work for in business they have to down size. I've work for them for just over five years, so I have some seniority. But in the next 6 - 8 weeks they're closing the spinmill. There won't even be any chance of my going to another department. On the bright side, I should have Christmas pressies sort out by then. But there are always other avenues for me to explore.

Monday (9/25/06)
I was helping the lady who runs my daughters Girl Scout troop. I sat at the playground wtxching the girls while she dealt wiht the new parents and paper work. One woman came up, got her daughter and left. When I return the scout leader told me one the mothers had a problem with me, a male, watching the girls. She then in formed the scout leader that her daughter would notbe returning.

Tuesday (9/26/06)
I stopped the local convience store on the way to work. As I returned to the car one of the employees came out and yelled at a young girl who had shop lifted minutes before. She was given a coule chance to return then fled. Some guy wanted me to chase this girl down and return her to the store. I didn't I just got in my car and left. There were a few reasons for me leaving (1) She may have had a weapon in her bag. (2) I'm not law enforcement (3) She could have said we raped her (4) The guy may have known her and then the both of them may have robbed me.

Off Topic / ABC Television

So a few day ago I recieved and email from someone  claiming to a casting producer for Wife Swap on ABC TV. I did make a couple emails and was assured that this was the real deal. But shame I didn't meet their criteria.

Hello,

I am a casting producer for the ABC Television show, â??Wife Swap.â? â??Wife Swapâ? is a reality show that takes two families and has one parent from each household switch places to experience how the other family lives. It is on ABC at 8pm on Monday nights â?? family hour! It is an incredible family experience and an opportunity to both learn and teach different values.

I have been looking for families who have active imaginations and enjoy spending time together doing creative, artistic activities. In my research, I have come across a number of websites and message boards about Cosplay. I thought this might be an interesting avenue to explore on the show â?? often, we feature parents who are passionate about many other aspects of their childrenâ??s lives, but rarely focus on letting them exercise their creative sides. I think it would be great to have a family on the show that encourages participation in imaginative activities, such as Cosplay.

I was wondering if you would be willing to share the posting (below) with your yahoo group, or if you know of any families who you think would be a good fit for the show. Our only requirements for the show are that the families consist of two parents, and have at least one child between the ages of 7-17. Families who participate in the show do receive $20,000, and if you refer a family that gets cast on the show, you receive a finderâ??s fee of $1,000.

Please let me know your thoughts on this â?? I can be reached at (212) 404 1473 or at Meghan.McGinley@rdfusa.com. The official posting is included below.

Thanks!

Meghan

Every year we get the Mormons at our door trying to convert someone in the house. They even gone as far as to run to catch up to me as I walked down the street.
It sorta went like this :

Me : "Who are the suits?? Shit its the Mormons"
Mormon : "blah blah blah, yackity smackity."
Me : "Sorry not interested. Can't talk late for work."
Mormon : "blah blah blah later time at your home."
Thus I gave in and gave him the address of an empty house with a very old out of service phone number.
