For some reason it's taken for ever to get around to scanning this page (it's mahoosive - required four scans on an A3 scanner just to fit it all in).

Please do a nosey chap a favour; measure it and give actual size dimensions for me?
Would be most kind of you!

I have seen Gibson originals but it was a long time ago. Am toying with the idea of drawing bigger myself y'see....

Thanks guys! I'll add the "kenny" book to my (vast!) must buy list.

It's a pain having to buy collected editions of stuff you already have (somewhere!) in pile of progs just to gain easy access to an artists work. Sometimes I'm tempted to take scissors and staples to m y old progs!  :o

Slightly off topic;
Which are the 2000 collections containing the most Cam Kennedy art? Any suggestions appreciated!

With artists so often jumbled up on 2000 projects it's often hard to locate the stuff with the most pages from an artist you want to collect for one's hard earned dollar!

I love Cam Kennedy's work. A great shame about his failing eyesight. At least we have his fabulous catalogue work to admire.

I was disappointed with the wicker men too as what the Iceni actually did do to the citizens of Colchester was far worse really and would have looked even more horrific. I wondered if Boudicca was dressed in a tribute to Octobriana. However, Boudicca was the mother of teenage daughters so she might have looked much more mature, commanding and cooler in reinforced leather or something. The supernatural creature can wear as little as she likes - what a great reinvention of the harpie for the Romano Celtic world!

I remember listening to Melvyn Bragg's "In Our Time" show on Boudicca a while ago. Some doubt among scholars if Boudicca existed at all apparently. Though she 'probably' did, how much of the 'red haired warrior queen' stuff was added after the fact seems debatable.

Fascinating period of history. I'm rather sulking I'm not drawing it! But Mr Gallagher is so good it's enough to make a droid weep!

You're only stealing the thunder of my campaign to have it printed on bog paper with odd serated edges down one side and ink that rubs off on your bedsheets, again.

YUP! Totally with you there....
You sound like a chap with fine taste!  :)

...not entirely sure about the 'bedsheet' bit though....

Fabulous!

Would anyone like to join my campaign to make 2000 entirely black and white again?

Springsteen fans might wanna try the Gaslight Anthem (if you haven't already!). Kinda Springsteen filtered through the Clash .....and MUCH the better for it IMHO! :D

ME; Bad religion and the Alkaline Trio mostly. With a bit of Chet Baker for a change of mood on those late dark nights.

What did you reckon to The Dissent of Man?

I didn't buy it so hard to be sure. I listened to it a couple of times and thought it sounded OK but weaker than the last two (New Maps and Empire) which I love.

Do you rate it?

Currently reading 'Ancient Rome' by Simon Baker.
On Audio I have the second of the 'Dark Tower' series by King and the 'Third Chimpanzee' by Jared Diamond.
Dipping into Marvel Essentials Kirby FF too....

Welcome.
It's good to have Droids on board. Just so we can pick the shit out of you and drive you away.  ;)

It does happen though which is a shame.

Is that a challenge or a threat?
Or both?!

Thanks for the welcome all.

None snows there, I was there last June, it was summer, and it got 6 inches snows half way there! Hard to walk! Yesterday was just some ice, but wet clouds as walking into clouds!

Yeh, was the same when I climbed it (about five years ago). Lovely sunny day, folks in shorts, flip flops, tshirts and a only a carrier bag of mountain 'equipment' with them....6 inches of snow and very low visibility  at top.
Kinda foolish. Guess some folks just assume they can just call a helicopter if they get tired/stuck/cold/bored....

Thanks for the welcome everyone, thanks Emperor for updating account.

RE speculation.... :o

Now you mention it, I've started to wonder if Trout is a pseudonym. And TordelBack hardly seems a believable name.....

Hmm...
