So do I. Unfortunately it's the kind of place that still has a vile mid-seventies "blokes and dolly birds" macho culture where everybody who works there seems to get a secret (or not so secret) nickname. There's a guy with curly hair so he's "Poodle", there's a guy with a bit of a tan so he gets "Brownie" and my supervisor has a beard so everyone  calls him "Wolfie". You know, just typing this is getting me angry and I shudder to think what they call me.

Will (or should) the Megazine get a new logo as well (in order to incorporate the 2000AD branding) or will it just get squished to the side?

I have to concur with that. In my place of work we had a new start and he absolutely reeked of B.O. which earned him the delightful nickname of Pongo. Now, the people calling him this weren't that young and should probably have known better. The whole situation came to a head when he received some Lynx Africa and a car air freshener as a "Secret Santa" christmas present. He got the message but people still call him Pongo behind his back. That makes me more mad than the B.O. problem.

And I really like these Pye Parr ideas. I know they are concepts but they get my vote of approval. (Hope you don't mind me linking to them here Mr Parr.)

Personally I'm quite taken with the one second down on the right. If the new logo looked something like that I would be happy.

That was kind of what I was getting at. Not that it matters now. I'm just glad that he's back on board.

This came in the post on Thursday and I'm working my way through it. Not rushing, just taking my time. The first thing that comes to mind is that Dolman, if he hadn't quit the Academy, would totally have been a hands-on-hips "Judge Dredd is here!" tough but fair kind of Judge. It's also really weird how his beard and hair colour don't match.

Sometimes I forget that he is a elderly gentleman and that his days of firing out 26-part mega-epics are long gone. I've just been missing his take on the Big Meg since DOC.

2) Why isn't Cliff Robinson doing more interior stripwork rather than just covers? Is it a time thing?
