Wow, seems there are more people who detest the IMDB discussion forum(or at least the spammers that plague it) then I thought. Anyone else feel the same way about the Youtube comments section? That brings out the worst in me!

But would Alan Moore agree to it? From what I've heard he's not particularly fond of that comic.
Alan Moore doesn't own D.R. & Quinch.

Yep. Strontium Dog only goes colour with the fifth volume (although I recall the colour stuff didn't fare too badly), and Nemesis is colour as of the third volume.
Quote from: Lee Bates on 21 September, 2012, 10:24:25 AMAs far as the comments regarding bad repro and all black and white printing, most of these older stories were originally printed in black and white anyway with the occasional colour centre spread. The later, all colour Dredds are re-printed in later Case Files in full colour on glossy paper.

Even if they closely resemble human beings to the point where they might as well be?
They don't look particularly human though and it's more in the realm of heightened fantasy.Quote from: Cursed Earth Dweller on 20 September, 2012, 04:49:08 PM
My point was having people shot shouldn't be an excuse for network excecutives(or whoever is in charge, don't know much on the subject) to wan't to tone down an animated version of a subversively violent comic, especially in todays world.
It shouldn't, but unfortunately it is. Cartoons must make money to justify the risk of making them. A cartoon version of Dredd would be harder to make than RoboHunter or ABC Warriors. Dredd wouldn't be Dredd without his Lawgiver.

It's hard to get-funding-for/make a cartoon about a law-enforcer who shoots people for a living.
Not really. Dragonball Z featured people getting eviscerated and superpowerd aliens tearing eachothers limbs off(granted they cut a lot of that on the PG channels). I think a Judge Dredd cartoon could be made the same way and still retain it's subversity.
Superpowered aliens/humans and robots can do what they want to each other, they're not normal people shooting each other.
