holy shit, it took US military intervention to stop Microsoft's nefarious plans

The shareholders spoke, Microsoft forced to listen.

Next in Microsoft news the start button is coming back to Windows 8, due to popular demand.
Microsoft - we have no idea what we're doing but please buy our stuff.

I think it's extremely good value for money. The content is always good (dredd stories have more room to breathe - although the space isn't always used to effect), I enjoy all the interviews as it's nice to meet the people that work behind the scenes of the universe's greatest publication, and as a relative new comer to 2000 ad (just over a year now?) the floppy is great to catch up on complete runs. The only thing I skip is the written (I.e. all text) Dredd stories that pop up which I have zero interest in.

I think it's a really good comic that takes way too much bashing on here.

I never used to mind the AR tags, they were a genuinely interesting way to experiment with adding applications of new technology to our favourite medium. That was until the last issue of FF which had an AR tag that really helped in understanding a story. A villain was cast to some fate that wasn't really clear until you used the tag. I thought that was poor. They are fine as a fun addition, when they become integral that's not good form and a barrier to enjoyment for those who don't have the required technology, or desire to exploit it.

I've been running low on phone space of late, wondering were it was disappearing to until I started going through app management and saw the marvel AR app had nearly 3GB of data cached away! FYI for anyone that uses it to keep an eye on that!

Far too many of the ar vids are pointless joke vids and not enough behind the scene stuffs. And that's without getting into how the ar tags spoil the art.

The spidey stuff is in one of a MASSIVE bundle of Spidey books that one of my day job customers donated to me a while back. Long story. Family trouble. Not pleasant, by the sounds of things.

I liked JMS run of Spidey; he obviously tried to keep it fresh. Where do you work to get massive bundles of comics donated? Can I work there?

Batwoman: Hydrology

"Not bad" is selling it a bit short. Easily the highlight of the N52's first 2 year's for me. This J.H.Williams can draw a bit well. A bit to well.

I love the way nearly every single page is a double page spread. Highly original stuff going on for mainstream DC comics.

Dredd - I like Dredd best when there's stuff exploding, especially when pulled off by an artist who makes it feel like I'm watching an action movie.
Anderson - This would be so much better visually if it was done in old school grayscale, especially considering time period it's set. Otherwise I like it, reminds me that I need to pick up the 2nd Anderson Case Files.
Defoe - I've no idea what is going on in the bigger picture (my first Defoe outing) but it was stunning stuff.
Sin/Dex - Some cracking dialogue with art to match.
Terror Tale - Good stuff - everything that a one-shot tale should be.

One of my favorite progs of late.

Dredd by his Daddy

I wish Ezquerra stuck with B&W; colour saps the soul out of his work. Is it just me that thinks something gets lost with his work? Usually I appreciate both inks/ coloured but I constantly find myself thinking "this would look so much better in B&W" with his material.

I'm three quarters way through Lone Wolf 2100 omnibus I'm a big fan of the original Lone Wolf series and was put off from the reviews I've read of 2100. I wish I never listened as I think it's a great homage to the original with a cool sci-fi setting. The art is stunning too and I'm a bit sad that artist Francisco Ruis Velasco hasn't done much else in comics in following years as it appears he's become a concept artist for Guillermo del Toro.

Recommended to anyone on the fence as I once was!

Do you know there is new superman film out this Friday?

Two new top critic reviews out today but the trend on that aggregate score is only going one way. 97% of the audience still say they want to see it though, so I wouldn't worry about anyone losing money.

I'm not a big Superman fan and I don't like the Reeve movies - sorry! and I want to see this thing. I think it'll do ok!

I use twitter purely as a newsfeed; follow the sites (or people's blogs) you mostly visit and they post links as new articles go live. It's also very useful for press events like E3 if you follow any of the gaming press as it's like a constantly updating chat feed as news is breaking.

No wonder Daniels was so hot in the desert if he still had that hair when filming.

WALKING DEAD 111 - Continues to be Walking Dead. For better, or for worse.

Walking Dead volume 18 (#103 - #108) landed at the weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's good that the Neagan conflict hasn't turned into just another Governor 2.0 and he's actually a whole different kinda crazy.

BATMAN #21 looks a whole different kind of awesome too. I can't wait for this.

I was going to check out Superman Unchained #1 but looks like a "directors cut" is out in a month's time that consists of Jim Lee's pencils so I think I'll wait for that version.

Few others that I'll be grabbing this week too, I think Avenging Spider-Man #22 is the last one before it's relaunched as "Superior-Team up", Star Wars continues to be consistantly great; I can't see that changing any time soon.
