I'm trying to sneak an Albion refernce into everything I do, I've managed it in the last three art comp entries. 

That is awesome! 

highlight was Flint's work on the Lightsabre-alike-Laser in Zombo.  Notice how you never see the end of it, it's always vanishing off-panel except when it's pointing into the floor in the final panel.  i.e. it's just a standard unconstrained laser drawn so as to look like a fixed length light-sword. 

I really dug that too.

I got a good job center story of incompantans. It took me 3 years to get a apoiment with the disabilitys job adviser wish I had not bouthered the women there had this belife that all people with disabilitys were only capable of being cleaneres I knew 3 outher people who saw her and that all the jobs she would give them arfter 3 months of trying to convinses her that a cleaning job was a bad ider as I dont evan clean at home till I can no longer see the floor she then serjest resepenishenst (yea that will be a great ider espechily with my spelling skills) from what I could tell from what outher people thort she basickily hated her job and thort if she could not have a beter jobe people with disabilitys shoud not get a a beter job eaither.

If she's not happy in her job maybe she can give it to someone who needs it more or will do a better job (god knows there's quite a few out there who'll be more than happy to relieve her off her 'burden').

Ah man! Star Wars artwork is always welcome and that X-Wing is just stunning, Albion! Love the use of shading especially on the X-wing. I haven't noticed it in the films before but the colour palette feels like an extension of R2-D2, which makes sense really because he is more or less the heart or brain driving the craft..sort of! Great stuff.

Looks like a fair few comments about the shift in style on Insurrection III. Okay, here we go.

I won't go in to details, but the main reason for the change in art style was due to personal life stuff.
I started drawing Insurrection III last year, however it didn't go well. I tried to keep going with the greyscale style from the previous series, however it was impossible. I found myself incapable of rendering with that technique. The decision was taken by me to change style in episode two. It was either that, or the third series would not be coming out in the comic. I think folks would have liked that even less.

It was not an easy decision by any means. I knew it would, and has, disappointed the readers of the Meg. For this I apologise.
However ... I hope people can look beyond the shift, as many have already done judging by the comments, and enjoy the series. I think in some ways it'll be the best of the three. ... story wise anyways.

On a final note I have taken the decision to redraw episode one at my own expense for the collected edition, whenever that appears. I may have not had the time to redo it for the monthly Meg, but at least it'll be sorted out and something new to look forward to in the collection.

Anyhoo, hope you all enjoy series three and I'll see all when I see you.

It's mighty nice to hear from you Mr. MacNeil! I'd just like to echo what IndigoPrime has said and thats the recent style for Insurrection III is in no way inferior to your past style or for the start of the new series, but even then it is still magnificent (I was busy reading the latest instalment of Insurrection III before coming on here and I really enjoyed it!). Keep up the excellent work and thank you for taking the time to reply and clarify your decision!

Changes in style between series happen all the time though. (Think of the America trade for something that's seriously jarring.) Really, though, if this is what an artist needs to do in order to be able to survive, I'm happy to put up with a minor aesthetic jolt.

Hmm, when you put it like that, then i'd have to say fair enough, i can live with the change! But that does not detract from anyway the respect i hold for MacNeil. On the upside you can say the change in style demonstrates perfectly the versatility that he possesses as an artist. And you're right about the American stuff!

It looked time-consuming. It's just a bit of a pity he didn't realise and switch on episode one.

Yeah, and it would save us the moaning too! 

It's understandable if it's time consuming, but it's pretty jarring. If it was a case of another artist coming on board after the opener I would forgive the change more easily. Imagine how weird it'll look when its collected in a trade, especially when the preceding series was done in MacNeil's trademark soft style too.

[Marshal Law: The Deluxe Edition]

Just finished my Marshal Law: The Deluxe Edition; superb stuff. I think Marshal is overdue a comeback, there's so much happened in the DC/Marvel universes since then for Mills & O'Neill to mock.

Without doubt! Can you imagine the (delightful) carnage that Mills and O'Neill could unleash right now? Lol! I would love to see a comeback from the leather clad one!

One of the best comic collections i have had the pleasure of reading this year. Period.

I'm currently reading Akira Vol. 5, after this one i'll just be one volume away from owning the whole set! Woohoo!

Awesome stuff on show, mate. I didn't know DC released a Jaws comic! Looks like a beaut. The autographs and the other awesome memorabilia have made me a tad envious! 

I got the entire series in one hit from eBay for £50 well over a decade ago. BARGAIN!
