I would also appreciate the IT 'haddie' guide to 'posting' on here....I've a very good camera, but the size of image that it takes is greater than the forum site will allow...and when I try to reduce it, I get a very small picture with hardly any detail....I'm not as IT literate as I would like to be, so any help would be much appreciated..
I've a commission arriving soon and I'd like to show it on here in all 'its' glory'...

The thing was running for a month, to be fair, and Amazon also clearly stated the offer would end on the 30th. I didn't grab any 2000 AD stuff (I have the paper books), but got a ton of Doctor Who and Locke and Key.

I was recommended Locke and Key by Link Prime and Albion so went ahead and got them in GN form...
If I hadn't got them in GN form I would have got them on Kindle....They're great...

Battlefield Earth is a hoot.

Lol same here! As a young boy it made me fall in love with her! I thought she was the ultimate epitome of beauty. The funny thing is my son whilst watching the film said "dad she's very beautiful". I just smiled to myself!

And no doubt thought, with some pride...That's my boy !!

Yes, it was a 'promotional offer' and most are now back to normal price.....Which for me is a little expensive for a digital comic,  and I would prefer to pay slightly more and get the 'real' GN instead...
|However, there are still bargains to be had if you look.....

My mate Al dressed as a puffin. Choose Sealife.

I used to work with someone about 20 years ago who was on the news being arrested outside the McVities factory near Stockport dressed as a puffin. Protesting that some of that yummy protein in yer digestives comes from sand eels, which the puffins rely on.

Brilliant! I have passed this news on to Al to see if the RSPB fancy pursuing this course of action.

Was that not because McVities were complaining about the advertising of a rival biscuit...ie Puffin..
They were brought out after Penguins came out..

Ps : If you do go to the Grassmarket area for grub and a pint......You'll find that Forbidden Planet is only about a good 5 minutes walk away.....and there are some nice / slightly different shops ( for your lady ) on the way there if you go up the hill from the Mussel and Steak bar....

Did we really live through all that, and only a few short years ago?

Just watched this again and cannot believe how many half truths, downright lies and dis-information we were subjected to prior to going to War.....
Millions of people worldwide rejected the premise that we 'needed' to wage war on Saddam.....A million people protested in London........and 'our' Government still didn't listen....
For me one of the ultimate excuses....It was the Frenchs' fault because they voted against us......
FFS ..........!!
Sometimes you just get 'weary' of all the lies we are fed.........But it still doesn't seem to change..

I agree that £100 is a lot of cash to pay for a book.....
However,  it is a limited edition, hardback and provided it has good quality reproduced artwork in it...it isn't really too bad for what you are getting !..
As an example, the 1st  five Graphic Novels are for sale on eBay,  and if you were lucky enough to get all of these it would cost you,  including postage at least £100.....That's providing they all don't go over £20 each...

I disagree strongly that anyone is being taken advantage of, but the issue does seem a simple one: if you don't buy it, no one can take advantage of you.

Why are people suggesting this price is unfair? You haven't even seen the product yet. I bet it's gorgeous, and far nicer than the wrinkled, second-hand 20-year-old Titan reprint volumes that regularly sell for more than £100 for a set on eBay.

Let's stress the key points here:

1. This material is really good.

2. Publishing is a business.

3. The price is similar to the second-hand market, but it will be a new hardback book.

4. It will be a big book of all things Zenith, designed to the completist fan.

5. Complaining isn't going to change anything.
