Welcome to the board / Hello everyone!!

Hey all,
Many,many years ago in high school,a teacher's aide discovered I was a big fan of comic books. Upon learning this,she bestowed upon me a huge stack of 2000AD and Judge Dredd Fleetway compilations. This was probably around '92-'94. I was about 15 years old,and in all my years of American comic book collecting,I had never seen anything like 2000AD. There were stories like Button Man that just blew my pubesencent mind away. It felt smarter,the stories were more dangerous,the artwork was more realistic compared to 1990's American comics. I had re-read those old,hand-me-down progs over and over and over again. But alas,my romance with 2000AD was short lived.
Sadly, I'm an American, and at that time back in the 90's,finding 2000AD was impossible. I had to settle for DC Comics' futile attempts at introducing Judge Dredd to American auidences. I basically had to make due with what I could find.
Years passed,and I found myself powerless to the allure of the opposite sex and their vaginas,and gave up comics with the mentality of "I'll never get laid reading these things!!" Flash-forward a few years later,and I realized "I actually CAN get laid reading these things!". Slowly but surely,I was back to reading comics,but nothing ever grabbed me the way those old hand-me-down progs did.
American comics became redundant. Event after event. Crossover after crossover. I was bored by American comics. Then it happened.
Dredd 3D
I saw it six times at the theater. I dug out my old progs. Purchased everything that was available in the North American market. I read all 5 S&S Case Files volumes in 2 weeks,and then everything changed. I found 2000AD for my iPad. I'm into my third week as a subscriber and it has been fantastic! I now get thrill-power EVERY WEEK and I live in the US!! Thank freaking goodness for technology!!!
So,that's my story. I'm Duane,I used to be a kid from the US that had a small dose of thrill-power he was never able to forget,and now I'm an adult that can't get enough of the greatness that is,2000AD.
