Film & TV / Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Was nice to see the face-changing tech in Cap 2 get a callback, even if the Agents seemed entirely surprised at its existence. This show is much better now but there are some holes, perhaps Age of Ultron can fill them with a line of dialogue (i.e. where are the Avengers when supervillains cause destruction? Easily explained but this is the stuff Cap would be doing.)

In a sane world, a Marvel exec would have looked at Dirty Laundry and gone "Ohhhhh.... that's how we should have done it all along!"

Only became apparent to me when we got to Truth in Journalism (which was awesome), then I realised exactly who was doing what. I think Tom Jane was half the force behind Dirty Laundry but I could be wrong.

I am very happy with this. And love the creepy saturday morning cartoon look.

They wasted the "They don't know who they're messing with" line though. As in the TV show, that was followed by Rick et al being completely pwned and only saved by the lucky intervention of Carol.

I have been universally lucky with my employment it seems. When I was a KP my manager told me to help myself to the chips as they just got manky if left too long, and also poured me pints every time I was held back due to the late service/inept or lazy senior staff. Even better when she knew full well I was firmly below legal age.

For more in this line of error, see every Star Trek episode involving space combat or tricky maneuvers.

I dunno. I cherished new swear words as a kid. It was like building the forbidden library, apocrypha passed around on the playground. Knew you were on to something when you heard your folks say one of em.

F and S words were in the vocab by 9. 'Twat' wasn't unfortunately, so when I chickened out of calling my dead a twit mid-sentence I ended up choosing the wrong vowel.

Spec Ops for me - Ta!

Don't really have any games I haven't played... apart from Disciples, which my dad bought me in a fit of confusion when I tried to show him how to use Steam.

the clearly, provably disproportionate coverage of UKIP

If CFM's graph is accurate, UKIP have appeared around three times as often as the Green party, which is in line with the numbers of votes they attracted at the last general election:

Yet the parliamentary system is about seats, not votes, so if electoral coverage is based on anything, it should be on that.
