I'll have to scratch Under the Skin off the list then. The wife can't understand a thick Glaswegian at all (thinks it sounds German? Which she speaks).

Rewatched Winter Soldier. Much baggier the second time around but still holds up, much better than any of the Iron Men or Thor (but I was of the same opinion of Cap 1 which many did not like much).

Sorry to divert into tech support - but just so you know Shaolin it doesn't tend to be plug n' play, you will have to get the drivers off Microsoft too http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-gb/d/xbox-360-controller-for-windows

Love my 360 pad has served its time on both housemates consoles and my PC; was a must for Psychonauts and Batman...

Mind you, I was using a wireless, with the charging cable plugged into a USB port - maybe that was the problem?  Presumably it's only direct-wired 360 controllers that work on a PC?

Yup, only the very latest edition of the wireless pads can be used on the PC. But all the old wired ones can be

Meh. I wouldn't expect anyone to take their backpack off just to queue up. On the tube is slightly different but again, not expected. Easy solution is just to not get your face up in there.

Picked up State of Decay whilst it was £3. Fun enough to begin with, wish it was a bit less Dead Risingy? Only played 30 minutes this morning before work though. Just the guns seemed a little pointless compared to the power of my 2X4.

Even the free running in Batman feels better than the 'just hold down the button' of AC. And Asylum wasn't really like AC. Oh and the fights are so much better in Batman.

However Asylum is the better game ultimately as its more focused, though City does a wonderful job of handling its sprawl.

Crysis 2; enjoy playing as a superhuman, would be more fun if they'd really embraced it and given you more power and harder bad guys. Also like the fairly free form approaches through the linear landscape. Yet to really click though as currently I feel like the world's clumsiest supersoldier, able to soak up huge amounts of damage and turn invisible at the drop of a hat but constantly falling just short of the rooftop I want to jump over or hitting people with normal strength rather than flinging them off a building. Still early days yet.

Probably best to use those PC games as frisbees or fuel.

It was truly dire to begin with but became extremely watchable as the events of the Winter Soldier entirely changed the team's staid, boring dynamics.

I don't think that being outvoted means that.

He is an insensitive git. But I've yet to hear a reasonable argument against most of his points that aren't purely subjective (such as the morality of abortion, which I think is fair enough for him - they asked his opinion, he didn't sugarcoat it or politically duck it, he gave it straight up and honestly and whats more hasn't claimed his opinion is metaphysically justified).

Because I found my missing prog (1887) whilst at Dave's comics in Brighton.

Old prog hunters should check that store out btw, lots of Tornados, Crisis, Star Lord and more to be found in the boxes. And its a lovely shop all round anyways.

Woops, I need to change my HM - I don't mean "Meet the Team", I mean "Crossover Event"!

Well, maybe not the tape, but leaving something on the seat/wheel is hardly incriminating. Or taping on the inside of the door would be completely unnoticed I imagine. Or putting something behind/in front of the wheels would be best.

For your own satisfaction if nothing else...and for when they finally get around to it, and you can point out that you know that you've been lied to persistently and demand an explanation for why.

After all at this point there's the slim possibility that it has been moved, looked at, and moved back to where it was.
