I guess the IDW Dredd isn't as bad as it could get.

The first time I stopped was because my local shop stopped carrying it. The second time I stopped was because the distributor had a hard time getting every prog.

It's interesting that the cover with the cleavage is drawn by a woman.

All 3 covers are terrible IMO.

I rate this as the worst of NuWho, & right bellow the Happiness Patrol in quality. Nearly unwatchable.

There are a million ways to keep Joe alive. I don't see it as a problem.

I'd like to see the future of the strip center around the idea that they have a city made for 400 million housing 50 million. I'd like to see a few longer storylines that might mimic what's currently going on in Detroit. A city that should house 2 million housing seven hundred thousand.

Populations could move away from the Cursed earth wall or towards it. Mutants could move into the north of the city & declare their own republic. The city could divide into 2 or 3 smaller cities that want to try a new form of government. The things you could do are endless.

Maybe he could be killed off & replaced with Durham Red?

Amy Reeder, artist on Rocket Girl, Madame Xanadu, & Batwoman, was asked what was the first comic that blew her mind. Her answer? Shamura. Specifically Quitely's first story. She even said that Rocket Girl was partially a homage to Inaba.

Here are 2 interesting articles about the american comics market on from this month & one from 1993 that reprints an article from 1976. I found them both (all three) fascinating.

Does anyone know which universe the movie 'Dredd' Dredd exists in? And if there are any plans to crossover with the movie 'Judge Dredd' Dredd?

Expendables 4.

Hopefully the digital sales are good.

Marvel & DC seem to cancel books that dip below the 20K mark. DC sometimes keeps books alive when they're consistent sellers at 12K to 15k

I'm loving this series so far. Matt Smith needs to write more comics.

The Classics, Dredd & Rogue, are 2000AD reprints as was the Sinister Dexter 7 issue mini-series. Everything else is new material & takes place in it's own dredd-verse.

On a sidenote it's really heartening how much all kids still love books and stories. They use Iphones, Ipads, laptops like water- but they still REALLY love books. Reading them, carrying them around, looking at the pictures. You don't have to encourage them, as long as there are books in the house they're straight in there begging you to help them read them. Wonderful to see.

I saw a recent poll where americans between the age of 15-24 were asked whether they preferred to read books on the iPad or actual books. 62% said they prefer actual books. Hopefully I'll be long dead when digital replaces print 100%.

Thanks for the information.

It's interesting to see that a french publisher sells U.S. reprints in the UK.

Other than 2000AD there doesn't seem like there is much native serialized storytelling in the UK.
