It's still snowing here in Lanarkshire and is currently up to my shins outside my parents' house. Tried having a snowball fight on Sunday, but it was the wrong type of snow, although we seem to have the proper stuff now :D. I went out on an expedition to my doctor's surgery this morning only to be sprayed with a broadside of manky slush from a snowplough on my leg  >:(.

I ain't too bovvered about the set pics,I'm willing to hold fire until I see the finished film. I'm sure they'll be spruced up a bit in post-production.

In other news, You-Know-Who seems to be pursuing a vendetta against George Moore on the alt.comics.2000ad board, http://groups.google.com/group/alt.comics.2000ad/browse_thread/thread/bf375cec7f0e77b1#.

I re-read this a few months ago and was pretty disappointed that there wasn't a second book.

Welcome to the board / 'ello !
27 November, 2010, 08:44:15 PM
I joined this board years ago, and have mostly lurked over the last few years, but never really introduced myself. I'm originally from Ayrshire, and moved to Lanarkshire when I was 12. I've recently just moved back to Scotland after 4 years in Essex and Suffolk.

I've been reading the prog on and off ever since my uncle gave me some of his progs and his 1984 annual. My joint favourite thrills are Nemesis, Dredd and Stront, second faves are Slaine, Dante and Low Life. I first started buying the prog regularly with prog 419, but my mum stopped buying it for me around prog 613, so I missed the latter parts of 'The Final Solution' and only found out Johnny had been killed off a couple of years later. I missed most of the 90s, apart from a period between 95 and 97 when I started buying the prog regularly again, before stopping (I can't remember why.) I started buying again in time for part 1 of Nemesis Book X and have been buying on and off since then.

Alas, I have 2 things in common with Sc*j*, my first name, and mental illness (depression in my case), but apart from that I'm mostly harmless  ;).

Does anyone else think that Katie Waissel should be cast as a female relative of Dredd ? She definitely has the chin !

I saw it in Fopp in Glasgow and it was reasonably cheap. Can't remember how much it was though.  :-*

Games / Re: Nintendo wii
23 November, 2010, 10:58:46 AM
I finally joined the current console generation a few months ago after finally getting my hands on a Wii. I haven't paid more than £15.99 for an of my 15 games. I've picked up The Conduit and Red Steel 2 for £6 from Tesco and Asda respectively, Call Of Duty : Modern Warfare for £14.99 from Cash Converters. I also have Bully and Zelda : Twilight Princess.

Thumbs up from me ! The reason the helmet looks big might be because there's padding inside it. Just a thought.  :)
