Really looking forward to this, only followed the Ron Smith strips at the time (but I'm sure some Sci-Fi Special reprinted some of Ian Gibson's). At 320 pgs HC this sounds like 5-star treatment, should be a handsome volume  :)

Bit late jumping onto this one, but here's my review for the pilot episode:

Episode 1x01 - "Pilot"
http://www.popculturebandit.co.uk/2014/10/review-gotham-1x01-pilot.html
Just watched episode 1 and am very impressed. The only (very) minor glitch for me was Harvey's overacting, everything else was done with a great sense of fun, and the repurposing of the (many!) familiar characters was done very confidently. An ongoing hunt for the Wayne murderer could well tie it all together as you say, not something I gave a hoot about as the story bounced along. Great stuff.

Glad of the  Cosh's voice of sanity amongst the universal praise. Was flicking through this book in Waterstone's and reasonably interested. Until I realised it wasn't episodic (I like Coupland a lot) but is geek speak throughout. I can't be doing with that. Money saved!

Labour Party would be better with new leader than gormless Ed? Not too late to change the leader?

Yep, Labour should be cleaning up in these difficult times. Ed proving a terrible choice. Seems it's just too hard to find a principled AND popular leader.

Hmm...a tad optimistically priced perhaps?

Had to investigate further  :)
Seller also has prog 300 for £50+.
I'm looking at my 7 bagged unread copies of 300 in a new light! *

* No, I can't think why either. Probably the badge.

Nice bunch of strips since the much-needed prog 1900.

Dredd  Looking forward to the unravelling of Gramercy Heights, could well be next episode :)  Carlos makes things nice and clear when it could easily get confusing. And the colouring is exceptional, don't think any other style has worked as well as this for Carlos.

Stickleback  Star of the prog, right down to the colloquialisms throughout. Perfect.

Greysuit  New to me, liked it. Great to see Higgins again, and very reminiscent of Buttonman in story and feel. Lots of photoshopped background, felt quite experimental. Undecided on that aspect, will see if it continues throughout...

Ichabod Azrael Another new one, a close second to Stickleback for me. Lovely atmospheric art, but most of all a stunning script. It's rare a strip's prose goes to these lengths (Rennie recently and Stickleback are other fine examples), it's taking longer than usual to read the prog and for all the right reasons. Page 1 was something special: "Zoe returned to the nothing that precedes invention...". Were the previous series of Ichabod as good as this?

Kingdom  ... and because nothing is perfect, I can't get along with this. First page felt like a Marvel crossover splash page, hm. They're battling giant insects, with a Hulk'ing great lead character. Well drawn, mind.

Excellent news. Only binged my way through BB a matter of weeks ago. My only ever TV binge.

Did feel odd watching Saul pop up as he goofy sheriff in Fargo... actually, probably no less odd than watching 'Office' Tim effect that goofy accent. Goofy show all round.

Good approach is to hit
Quoteagainst a previous post containing an image. Don't send anything, just copy the formatting of tags you'll see. Plus always try [Preview] before sending; if the image doesn't appear, you'll need to reformat.

An icon is available above, of course, but in the beginning that can prove tricky.

No fan fare for the Luther Arkwright compendium? I've never had the privelige of reading LA before but I adore Takbot's other works so this is a must buy for me. Hope that page count is wrong mind you.

Glad to see Luther again, it became more about the art for me as it progressed. Not that the art is less dense than the story, now I come to think of it :) Such a labour of love...

What the link did alert me to also was: Saga Deluxe HC and Johnny Nemo HC. That 18-issue collected Saga is mightily tempting, even if it's re-buying. And shamefully my Johnny Nemo collection remains unread. For 25 years, it seems. More hours in the day, please?

Wagner on good form there  :)

Hard not to nit-pick CBR's suggestion that DOC was 'last year'. Had to buy the books (!)
