I ordered the standard i.e. the non slipcase edition today. Didn't see any comms from Rebellion that this version is now on sale. Thinking about it, it has been for a while, it just didn't register with me that this was the non slipcase edition.

BTW it's a tenner for p&p!

Also the slop case editor no loner seems to be on the 2000AD web shop.

When I Google it, I get the cover but the contents description is blank (for the Starlord Summer Special that is).

Quick question.

I have the Search and Destroy collected edition but don't recognise a story called Eye of Doom. But there is a story at the end, which isn't actually named but is from a Summer Special and the preview page shows some art that refers to "Kane's Kolossal Komfort Kasino".

Is that what you mean? One of the characters does implore Johnny to not give him the evil eye at one point.....so I guess so?

These tourneys have been great to stimulate conversations on the Forum but I feel I've reached the point where I'm struggling to keep up with what I've voted for and what I haven't. Plus some of these stories weren't that memorable for me, despite probably re-reading most if not all in the Ultimate Collection.

Went to buy the paper back version of vol III today. Despite it appearing to be available, when I went to check out, it was flagged as sold out. Not sure why that happens. Had to settle for the digital edition.

I was tempted by this, and indeed I went to buy it today, but it was excluded from my subscriber 50% discount voucher. 85 quid more than the standard version for a slip case, an additional print and a "number plate" seems like a lot.
