I signed up to the forums JUST to say that I love that print!!  I really hope you make it available somehow, cause I'd love to hang it on my wall.

Fantastic work!

Thanks!!!! I'm not sure how 2000AD feels about selling fanart though? maybe if I get the ok. Or maybe 10 years from now I'll be good enough to be in comics :)  My ex-comic coworkers are all like 'nuuuuu don't go into comics, it's terrible' though haha.

@shaolin: thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to take the plunge and subscribe :)

Probably will get one, these are pretty cool.

I saw a bunch of guys wearing this design (I think) on a baseball cap this past weekend.  I didn't see it on the site though...anyone know what I'm talking about?

Silly names and costumes aside, I actually really like the art.  But that's probably cuz I'm a newb and don't have that indignant rage that comes along with liking a comic for years :)

Actual photo from the RPF guy's wedding who made my badges.  Said something about "The judgement is life without parole"   Somehow got his wife to agree to this!  hehe

I wionder how many boxes of Lego this anti-capitalist propaganda movie will sell?  ;)

Welp, my friend went out after the movie and bought a few sets, so I'm guessing, a ton :)  The movie sets are pretty cheap, maybe like $15-20 USD.  Normally Lego sets are crazy expensive but I guess Lego churned out a ton for movie tie-ins and got a factory discount

Maybe?  I suppose?  What this ends up being is that this is what the uninitiated end up thinking the core of Dredd is all about.  Well, this and the Stallone movie.  Very few comic shops over here get 2000 AD at all, so there is very little exposure beyond the IDW stuff.  It's not a good thing when someone has heard good things about Dredd, decides to try this, and then dismisses it as being silly and not very good... having no exposure to the Wagner books, or the work the other excellent creators are doing currently.

The figures for the IDW books are very healthy, which suggest there's an audience out there that either want something different in tone to 'traditional' Dredd or are not willing to read 2000 AD. This is an audience we simply cannot reach, but one that is being exposed to the character in a new way. How is this a bad thing? If the IDW stuff isn't to your tastes, that's fine - but it's something thousands and thousands of people enjoy every month. This is just a different string to the bow and has an excellent knock-on effect for awareness of our books in North America.

I for one, endorse this statement.  I can't get 2000AD anywhere except for online and I live in a major metropolitan area in the US.  I went to a very popular comic shop here in the Bay Area and they had never even heard of Dredd, movie or otherwise.  We take what we can get :)

Maybe the wedding tables should be cityblock themed. If you want potential block wars.

Oh zing!

Meant to say in the previous post, like I said, if you have an existing name it'll be cheaper.

Games / Re: Last game played...

Well, someone else is going to have to help me here, I haven't ever played it even though we publish it haha.

I believe it's an action RPG.  It has dialogue trees which let you make a lot of decisions I think.

I'm going to guess since there are 3 it's pretty decent on PC.

Well, I actually work on the Sims at EA, so I can't really comment on anything on Dead Space.

A good game I've been playing is Wolf Among Us on PS3.  I really enjoy the Walking Dead game by Telltale, Wolf Among Us uses the same engine.  Fun if you don't really want to think and like choose-your-own-adventure type games.

Just wondering how many US readers there are :)

I live in between San Francisco, California and Dallas, Texas.  I guess both of them survived in the future!  Actually....does anyone actually know how large MC2 is? It seems like more of a SoCal/LA vibe than NorCal vibe.  *goes off to buy the new MC2 series*

Interestingly (but confusingly) the show is airing out of production order. From the AV club:
Quote
"Blood Brothers" was the eighth episode of Almost Human produced, but it's the fifth to air. Next week is the third episode produced, and the second episode isn't even on the schedule.

Hmmm... Where have I seen this sort of thing before from Fox?

Sounds like Fox is pulling another Firefly.

Not necessarily. TV shows are shot in production blocks, which don't always correspond to the order they'll eventually be broadcast in. (For example, in the Eccleston first series of Doctor Who the first production block shot was the Slitheen two-parter and then Rose - that's episodes 4, 5 and 1 of the eventual broadcast order.)

Jumping around the running order like this can be because of having a director working on several disparate episodes in a row, the availability of a guest actor or recurring cast member, having certain sets or locations available only for a specific time of just generally managing your production resources.

Unless showing the episodes out of the order they were filmed in produces obvious problems with the ongoing story arc or characterisation, there might be nothing sinister to this.

That said, Fox do have a fairly terrible record on supporting genre shows.

Karl was pretty grumpy when asked about this at the con, he said he disagreed with the way the show was being handled, and that he didn't want to talk about it.
