As much as I've enjoyed this series, without a doubt the most disappointing thing has been receiving the individual series out of sequence with the stories even being out of sequence in the books.  It boggles my mind how a collectors edition can be so bizarrely put together.  I know the party line is that the stories can be read and enjoyed in the order they're sent out but they can be read and enjoyed about 1000% more if they are read in the right order.

I really hope they don't make the same mistake for the 2000ad series because it's an absolute head scratcher.

I hadn't read the Half-Life story and it's been one of the most enjoyable so far in the mega collection.

I agree with some of the comments regarding the running order, I've found it quite confusing as we are clearly getting all the stories out of sync with each other.  I would have preferred it another way and I find it a little bit of a cynical way to ensure that people keep buying to the end.

Still, it's great and I'm eagerly awaiting my next set!

I've been reading 2000ad on and off since I was 12 and I've bought every copy of the mega collection so far.  I'm sure I'm not the only person who enjoys the 2000ad world and stories but doesn't get on with the format.  I find it hard to enjoy reading a story over 12 weeks that I can digest in 20 minutes, I've just read the recent Dark Justice and it's a prime example, an enjoyable romp but not enough to keep me interested through bite sized pieces dished out over a few months.  Is there really no market for a compendium of the prog and the megazine which has been edited to to include continuous storylines? I'd certainly pay a premium for it.

Anyone else struggle with the episodic content? I'd be delighted if there was a quarterly book that included a recent progress and magazine content, all neatly edited into seamless stories.  Sell me this please.

Having not read The Pit is it worth me waiting before reading Doomsday for Dredd?  Presumably The Pit will come out at some point?

That would be amazing, thank you! I'll PM you.

I've just checked the width of Mechanismo against my letterbox and there is about half a centimeter extra space so maybe the sub will work... Signing up now :)

Some mark up they're expecting on eBay!  I'm kicking myself on that.  I don't want to subscribe because they'll never fit through my door so I'll be collecting them myself each time.

A pound dearer now or is it just me? Or a once off?

These look great, as someone who lapsed from buying 2000ad at around '94 and has recently to delved into the digital graphic novel archive, I think this is an easy way to build up a nice collection of tangible books.  I'll be subscribing for sure, even though I have some of the stories in digital format already.
