Announcements / Re: 2000 AD - The Ultimate Collection

Been reading Kingmaker, which I enjoyed when it first appeared in the prog but soon lost track of the overarching story. The collection is great and I now feel primed for the conclusion when it comes.

General / Re: 2000AD Original Art Thread

Without trawling back through this thread, does anyone have advice on what to use to store original art? I have a few US sized pages and some 2000AD as well including a painted Sin/Dex page. I'm interested in the sleeves or whatever they're called.

I watched this the night after I posted (above) and wholly recommend it. What a lovely guy. I have I think one page of The Girl Who Would Be Death and a couple of his Crow series.

Prog / Re: Prog 2395 - The Red Baroness

The artwork on Silver is incredible this week. Joe Currie's sense of scale is immense. I was on the fence when they first appeared on Dredd one-offs. The figure drawing and faces are still quite naive but it works so well. I'm glad Tharg has given them time to develop.

Linkage
This was a kickstarter which I actually backed and then never got around to watching. Glad it's in a place where more people can see it now.

Got the paperback. It's HUGE.

Film & TV / Re: Time Bandits - TV series confirmed

I just watched the original for the first time as an adult last week. Made me realise one of my first memories of visiting my Dad in his new house after my parents separation this was on - the giant with the boat as a hat. Never realised it was this film. Anyway, I *do* have Apple TV+ but I'd not spotted it was out. Will give it a watch I think.

I backed it for HC but then went back and chose the Henderson 'retro' cover as she is the big draw for me.

Now they've added Luke Evans (no relation)

(not sure what was up with my sentence structure there but you know what i mean. edit is gone)

Synammon comes from my wilderness years so I've no read on it. So I guess that would be a good fit as a new-to-me read, even if I'm basically just wishing for as many decent 90s reprints as we can get.

I know she may not be popular but I've always been intrigued by her but getting the issues with her in is expensive.

There's ~150 pages of Mambo according to Barney so actually pretty much perfect for 1 volume.

Twin it with Tao De Moto for a David Hine volume - 55 pages more.
