Is there a thread for the 2000AD collection? I can't see one.

Quote from: Apestrife on 09 July, 2017, 06:30:45 PMWay back in 2015 I asked on the FB page when we would be seeing Judge Child and City Of The Damned. August 2017 seemed a long way off then.
Says on the wiki that Judge Child will be released in August. Can't see it on Hachette's webpage. Anyone who knows where that came from?

Ah, yes:QuotePlease be advised that the series has been extended to a planned number of 90 issues however the titles have not yet been released.
Honestly, this is something that should really be communicated to subscribers, who plonked down money on the basis of a finite collection of 80 books.

- they release all of the originally planned volumes first and the additional volumes are just that - additional

- they don't impact on the planned 2000AD collection (apart from material planned for that turning up here instead)
Quote from: Dark Jimbo on 19 June, 2017, 12:35:33 PMI'm still hoping the omissions from the JDMC will be covered in the 2000AD Ultimate Collection. Like, a first year of Dredd or whatever. Robot Wars.
I know! Nobody gets to enjoy Kenny Who? - but someone's gone to the trouble to scan and prep Sleeze N Ryder for a reprint?!
Quote from: IndigoPrime on 25 April, 2017, 09:13:40 AMI seriously doubt it's going to be Complete for each character. Sounds like they have cherry-picked a SD jumping on point. There will be even more questions for the FB page with this collection than with the JDMC!
Interesting, since that skips over Roadhouse and Tax Dodge, along with a couple of other tales. I'm still very tempted by this collection if it happens, but wondering how 'complete' certain series are going to be (rather than having two copies of Strontium Dog, etc., on the creaking living room shelves.
Quote from: sheridan on 21 March, 2017, 07:50:05 PMStuart Immonen is a Marvel Exclusive artist whose best work was with Warren Ellis on Nextwave Agents Of HATE. He recently did Empress with Mark Millar as well as a run on Star Wars.Quote from: Tomwe on 20 March, 2017, 04:23:49 PM
Loved the Future Shock - the artist struck me as a mid period Stuart Immonen crossed with modern Simon Coleby. Which is a good thing! More from this droid please![]()
Not familiar with Immonen, but I was thinking Coleby too.

It's 's not clear on the Wikipedia page where the source of stating the next Missionary Man issue is Bad Moon Rising came from, so I guess it will be Treasure of the Sierra Murder, meaning we'll be getting the stories in reverse order. Oh well.

Wow... I just read Armitage: Day Of The Dead (the main story). What a load of cack. Confusing, meandering and boring. The art is pretty good but it reminds me why I and many others didn't really like 2000AD in the 90s
It wasn't in 2000AD! And I thought (and still think) City of the Dead is one of the better uses of the Dreddworld idea. Can be a bit painful at timeswatching Gillespie learning his craft, but there are moments of greatness, and at least he goes all-out avoiding the brown murk. I actually have more of a problem with the middle stories in the volume, which don't seem to make a lot of sense.
