You seemed to have missed the one big difference between the characters.

One is a vigilante and the other ... do I have to say it!!!

I keep forgetting the Rochdale Herald exists, weird thing to associate with the hometown.
In Richmond & Twickenham the Local Paper is "The Informer"!

Unfortunately I can't get the image of her as the dull-witted receptionist on St. Trinian's out of my head. This is going to be a problem.

The Good:

Missy/ The Master Shooting Himself/ Herself in the back!

The Bad:

Another Cop-Out on "Killing" The Companion

The Ugly:

Going straight to the Nu-Who Cybermen. Shouldn't Mondasian Cybermen evolve into Classic-Who Cybermen :-*

If you like Historic Military Fortifications, there are some mint-condition Martello Towers around Galway Bay.

Depending on how early?

How about all the talk show hosts who interviewed Walter the Robot in "The Day the Law Died"

Whenever there's a plot revolving around a planet wide invasion it always turns out to be a rubbish story.
Dr Who is much better when he's saving a small outpost or a space station or something.

Yes, planetary invasions require explosions. Insane monologues, someone going Ha!Ha!Ha!
(And preferably Daleks randomly gunning down bystanders ... that's what Daleks are for!)

I liked The Dark Crystal but the twist was so obvious that it ruined things a bit.

The Goonies is horrible shouty rubbish but it's well made and I can see why people appreciate its feel of adventure.

Labyrinth is an imaginative, fun film and I know for a fact that many young girls (at the time) were quite affected by David Bowie's performance and tight trousers (my girlfriend is one of them - you don't want to know what gets talked about on the Facebook group :-\)

As for dark kids films - the one that always sicks in my mind is The Secret of Nimh. I haven't seen it for years but it freaked me out a bit at the time.
Personally it was Jennifer Connelly's heaving for me!

I wonder how Dredd and Vimes would get along...
I would imagine that Blackboard Monitor Vimes would be the only person in the universe with the nerve to arrest Dredd for acting outside of his jurisdiction. Even with a fleet of justice department battlecruisers hovering over Ankh-Morpork.

(And Joe Dredd would probably actually surrender, to prove a point, and be in custody for about 30 seconds, before being released on his own recognizance!)

Female film stars were a bit more challenging for me but I settled on Jodie Foster. Silence of the Lambs, The Accussed, Taxi Driver, The Brave One, Contact. That's a pretty good days viewing. Oh, and Maverick too!
Sigourney Weaver would give you the Alien Movies?
