You had a pop at me here for expressing my opinion on figures I own and my personal assumption on why 3A went for a new body for Dredd. You assumed I was hating on 3A and decided to call me out on it. Also telling Gregory in as many words, maybe you should go take a look at the 2000ad forum. I didnt like it, you might even say I took exception to it, it felt like a kid telling on me to the teacher.

I have not leveled any personal abuse at you, neither do I mention you hate me elsewhere. Why would you even suggest it ? I said I'd tried to apologize to you when you were angry 3A sold SDCC Mongrol 'out the back door' remember your comment here after I posted how happy I was to have secured one ? Since then you 'teased me' again on the 3A forum, I dont know you or your sense of humour, this was the third time.

I try to be a nice guy online but this felt personal and I sincerely apologize if my actions have caused offense or embarrassment to the forum and its members.

Getting back to the issue. My personal opinion based on my figures from Mezco and 3A.

Mezco Dredd is bulletproof. in the year + since the first one arrived they have been in constant use with zero degradation to joints, uniform or accessories. They look exactly the same as they did when I first opened them. I'd have liked some cosmetic changes but as an action figure its superb.

3A make fantastic looking toys but they are not durable. I like to repose my figures regularly and change up my displays. I've not touched any of the 3A's in ages for fear of damaging them. I can provide plenty of photographs of the ones that have broken and I'm 48 not 8.

In summary, 3A make the best looking toys. Mezco make toys I can enjoy as 'action figures'.

Horses for courses, some folk like to keep their figures mint on card. For those folks articulation and durability are not an issue. Others take them out and pose them once and leave them alone. Fair play to them I have no problems with how anyone chooses to collect.

I want an adult collectible that I can still have fun with (fnaar fnaar) so artic and durability score highly and when I find one lacking in either I'll be honest in my opinion like it or lump it.

If 3A Dredd is good I'll shout from the rooftops, its what we all want. If it isnt I'll be honest and hope it sells well enough for the line to continue.

I'm absolutely not here to fall out with anyone Banners. I'm starting to get into 2000ad again after a 20+ year hiatus and the last thing I want is to cause trouble with like minded folk.

I expressed an opinion on a little plastic man being better than another little plastic man. And an assumption on the reason for the re-design and delay. Apparently it was enough for BPP to 'take issue'

Now he's off to the 3A Forum and telling Gregory "trouble't mill over at 2000ad forum !" Trouble is caused by delays and non-communication and not a genuine fan of 2000ad, 3A and Mezco who expresses an opinion on a little plastic man.

Once again, I love Mezco and 3A for doing what they are doing and want nothing but continued success for them and for 2000ad.

I dont care when Dredd comes as long as he's worthy. I pre-ordered 2 1/6th Dredds day 1 to show my support for 3A whilst fighting the negative that said WAIT FOR 1:12th in case its poor.

I've replied to your snarky comment on the 3A Forum BPP.

Short version, I'm not hating on 3A. My post was hoping to calm down folks who are sick of waiting in the dark. I want 3A to succeed and make us as many 2000ad toys as possible for as long as possible. I honestly dont understand your reaction to my post but it pissed me off.

In my experience as a big kid who likes to 'play' with his toys Mezco Dredd beats 3A's Sam Slade and Death by a mile in terms of durability and posability. Thats why I think 3A went to re-design. Its my personal assumption as a guy who collects action figures, nothing more. If 3A's original was that good why dont we have it yet ?

Get off your high horse fella, we are not on opposite sides !

Wow thats bad news on the kickstarter :( I've seen some cool 2000ad miniatures online but never bought any. I did have the role playing game back in the day but never found anyone to play it with. I honestly dont remember any of my school mates being that into 2000ad although plenty played D&D.

Lots of folk are (understandably) pee'd off with the wait for 1:12th Dredd and Lawmaster. If the delays are to give us 'the very best figure' for the price I'll wait as long as it takes and try not to grumble.

I can only assume Mezco Dredd knocked 3A's original Dredd design for six. We are ALL going to compare them as soon as we get our grubby mitts on 3A's. If its piss poor its hard to come back from. I think Mezco's foray into 2000ad is done now. I'd love to see them surprise me though ! It got a lot of new folks looking at their broader 1:12th collective so its done its job. I dont think it sold well overall, blue bike was still available last I checked. Mines still at a friends over the pond, quoted me $90 to ship it today  :o

Despite the delays and lack of direct communication we need to keep supporting 3A if we ever want to see the likes of Rogue, Halo Jones, Kano etc.

If they give us good figures I'll put up with a lot.

Hahaha ;)

I'm not going to touch it until I get a cast iron assurance they are replacing it. I've asked, how broken does it need to be ? Apparently the COA and even the box needs to be destroyed.

Its a horrible thing to have to do :(

PCS have been in touch.

I have to destroy this broken statue and send the photos to PCS before they can dispatch a replacement. Whilst its good to hear they are happy to help me out I'm really not looking forward to smashing Dredd up !

My wife says she will happily do it............

Apparently I have to wait for PCS to ship all 250 pieces, assess number of damaged ones and allocate spares on worst damage first. If mine isnt considered 'that bad' I might be offered a small amount to find a repair artist ! Until then I'll display it here with the damaged exhaust against the wall. So beautiful, so sad.

Glad to hear it mate :) Collectibles are a funny old game and you have to learn to live with the highs and lows. Hopefully PCS will lend a sympathetic ear and offer advice on fixing it + some compensation for the other issues. I had a power adapter handy from another Sideshow piece but needed an extension bar. I've never seen a shorter power cable in my life ;)
