Comics N Toys Kidderminster replied yesterday, case each of Mortis and Fear coming. Prices are generally good there and customer service has been spot on. Opened and checked the electronics on the PX set for me prior to posting after I mentioned it was a fault seen twice so far.

Not up on his site atm but will be added soon. https://www.comicsntoys.co.uk/

Prices do seem high there moly. I paid £60 for regular Judge Death from Comics N Toys Kidderminster.

I've PM'd the owner on Facebook to ask if he has Mortis and Fear coming in. Let you know when he replies drsmuts and welcome to the board.

Final blue variant is going by Apocalypse War Dredd. I asked about a Stub Gun and the reply was 'its not an Apocalypse War without a Stub Gun'.

Maybe I'm adding 2 and 2 and getting 5 but I took that to mean it will come with the blue set in the same way Mezco did Cursed Earth with the cloak and shotty. I hope I didnt get the wrong end of the stick, Stub-Gun is a must if your gonna call it that.

Mezco's packaging is top notch, opening 3A's blisters feels like sacrilege. I ruined my first card opening Death but used a knife on the others and kept them looking good. Accessories only coming with specific variants is sneaky but they are all at it. Mez did it with Disco Dredd, 3A are doing it with their 3rd Lawmaster set. Wonder how many folk would still have bought Disco Dredd if not for those funky extras tho.

Gratz on the PX set moly :) I've been up and down on 3A's Lawmaster, its the bike I grew up with and love but I'm still worried about build quality. 3A toys look amazing but they are definitely delicate in comparison with Mezco. I hope the pre-orders we are waiting for blow us away.

Ebay update.

2nd SDCC set arrived, Ebay have now changed their tune about being able to return it. 3 separate phone calls to 3 different Customer support folks over the last 10 days. No problem to return it. We will help you despite the seller saying no returns.

Open a return, within 10 minutes it had been closed by the seller. Called UK Ebay this time. Nope sorry nothing you can do. I'm absolutely fine with that, I'm a big boy and I was on the piss when I bought it. What on Earth do they teach their support staff if 3 different people told me I can. I'm waiting for a callback from management today to have a whinge ;) Its not the money, I told the seller (politely) that Ebay said it could be returned and now he's having a giggle at my expense.

I'm not sure what I want to do with the 2nd set. I'm fine to keep the pair but I dont want to look like a greedy git and have 2 of the 50. I've added together the cost of buying, importing (and the taxes on the Ebay one) divided by 2 and it comes out around £410. If anyone's interested at that price gimmie a shout. I can provide full and complete breakdowns of both items, this is cost and I'd make a £100 loss selling the Ebay bike at that price.

I'll give it a couple of days, if no-one asks I'll open it and add to my display. It wont be going up on Ebay or be offered elsewhere, just wanted to give forum peeps a shout.

Animegami's a new name to me, anything specific your wanting to order ?

Update from Gregory on the 3A Forum in response to SDCC thrillcast question.

"Accessory pack not happening anytime soon. Just the black suited variant for now.

Yes, the face design was made with the intention of being able to do other variants - specifically artist specific styles. Again that's all dependent on how this version does. Molcher brought it up in the podcast, that Ash and I do emphasize publicly that if the support isn't there, then it makes things that much more difficult to do everything we want to accomplish. We can get as crazy as we want, as long as we're able to cover costs. So if pre-orders don't happen or there's a noticeable lack of interest, things have to get reassessed. Right now focus is on letting the good times roll ahead.

Artist specific variants would almost strictly be the face swap only. I was so meticulous and irritating on the current helmet design that our engineer (true f*****g hero on this line) might implode and murder me if I ask for another version of it. So the face switch is what will be altered the most on later variants. Maaybe an eagle will change, but that's all much further into the future.

We went very heavy Bolland on this version with a garnish of Staples mixed in. The eagle is ripped straight from Bolland's art. Helmet is based more so on Staples' art and my personal copy of the Planet Replicas helmet. We curved the sides out a bit more to give it a Bolland like feel."

I dunno about anyone else but hearing there is even a possibility of future 'artist specific' faces for 1/6th Dredd has me very excited.

2 versions from Bamba one from SDCC afaik. Bamba's were weathered or black and white comic book style like they did with Death and Dredd. SDCC was the super clean looking set.

It is my pic above (ta for the shout Albion) Bamba weathered set but notice the box on the left says SDCC. Confusing to say the least.

The auction has a shipper which says 'comic version' which would point towards the b/w set which was a Bamba exclusive not SDCC. His inner box says SDCC but so did mine which isnt.

Original price on these was $75 so $200 for an SDCC set doesnt sound too far fetched provided it is actually the right set in there. Shouldnt be a problem for him to to take a pic and message it to you if he's serious about selling it.

Good luck with it jflynn

I've still got my Legendary Comic Book Heroes Dredd and Death and a couple from Re-Action. Great toys not beaten until now at many times the price.

I'm hoping the guy who was at SDCC will help out on the blue set. If he's willing to help (for a small fee for his time) I'd be happy to pass his details on to anyone else. He helps out a few of the guys in a Facebook group I'm in and has been solid so far. SDCC Dredd and Captain America were here in 6 days with no customs.

My fave bike is still the blue PX one moly. If you want a matching set and dont hate Disco Dredd thats the one I would go for + the extra's with him are solid. If you want a bike to add to your NYCC Dredd I think he looks pretty good on the black one.

Thanks again, I did skip to Gregory's bit ;)

Very interesting, well worth the listen. One point got my attention more than anything. Swap out faceplates, what if they could do one in Ezquerra style, or Ron Smith....Jock, the mind boggles at the possibilities.

I dunno if it's a serious idea or just a whimsical 'what if' but I'd love to have clearly identifiable artists on each variant. (if they do variants.....) If variants are not on the cards as much swappable kit as possible would be next best thing.

Imagine an accessory pack with items to change up the base figure. McMahon Eagle, Carlos MK2 and badge, Massive Jock Nightstick + faceplates to match. I'm dreaming I know but how good would that be.

Pic is Sideshow Galactus, came with a swapout faceplate and 2 options for the Herald. Its a great way to change your display quickly and easily.

Hope your goodies get to you Mardroid, stressful enough moving without worrying someone else gets your toys :)

Hear what your saying Banners.

3A customer support have always replied to my emails within a day or two but there are no direct updates for folks who have pre-orders which is poor. Admin costs though, and toys are expensive enough as it is.

I should have said....at least 3A have got Gregory keeping us in the loop.

I backed away from the Urban piece too moly. I'm told this is the norm for PCS but as a first time customer its too much to ask to put another wedge down until I see the first one. Go only knows what they are up to, if its improvements fair enough I just wish we knew. If anyone has a handle on a good place for PCS news please comment. They dont answer on their fb page other than to say thank you for your patience.

I'm off to find that podcast now, ta for the reminder dweezil.

I've got my hands full trying to collect a couple of Dredd related toy lines, I dont know how you find the time never mind the money for all the other goodies you buy.

At least the PO's are already paid for, bar any nasty customs surprises. Silver lining and all that ;)

I dont mind waiting if its going to give us a better end result. At least 3A communicate and you have a sense of whats going on. Waiting for a new and improved body is a good thing to wait for imho.

Pop Culture Shock showed 'almost finished' Dredd/Lawmasters 18th May. Announced it was 'almost ready' to ship 7th June. 7th August today and still no news. How many businesses would get away with that ?

Off topic.....Mentioned to JB last week that continued exposure to Thrill power again was wearing me down. I hadnt picked up a prog in well over 20 years. I've not been into WH Smiths in so long I cant even remember. Popped in to get a Harry Potter book for the nipper and saw 2000ad on the shelf. Flipped the cover and there was Carlos on Dredd. Huge grin !

I havent dared read anything yet, sacred memories. I hope I enjoy them when I pluck up the courage.

1/6th Dredd confirmed at $200, PO announcement soon.

Hopefully that low'ish (for 1/6th) price point means variants are factored in and will follow.

Nice one moly, he's a cracker. 3A 1/6th Dredd will be up for pre-order soon if you fancy an action man sized play/display Dredd ;)

I admire your willpower Smudge, mine leaves a lot to be desired at times. I think most if not all of us were like 7 year olds when we opened the Lawmaster. Watch Johns unboxing on Cellar of Dredd if you havent seen it, magic !

Go back a couple of pages and I was saying exactly the same as you guys. I'm still miffed/nonplussed at Mezco for the way the b/w set was handled, same applies to the Navy set being Mezco direct US only.
I'm sure its business reasons but It feels like they have done their best to make life difficult for us.

SDCC set arrived. Collar/zip have been improved ! I hope that will carry onto the final blue variant. Much easier to pose without his chin opening the zip now, especially on the bike when he's looking down the handlebars. SDCC fig on left. Lower collar, shortened zip on SDCC compared to NYCC, black and blue.

Bike's white parts have a hand painted feel to them, quite different to the 1st 2 bikes. Shoulder pads even more so, distinct paint lines. It wouldnt work on a colour figure but its good on b/w.

Couple of oddities on the packaging pics. Glass at rear is show red as the 1st 2 bikes but its actually clear like the front lights. Screen display is shown as green as 1st 2 bikes but its actually white. No mention of SDCC at all, printed Mezco Direct Exclusive badge on one side and a silvery sticker saying the same on the opposite side.
