• Graduation Day by Gordon Rennie and Tiernen Trevallion; a young man takes a step into a wider world.

Intrigued by the Rennie/Trevallion story. Maybe an epilogue or spin-off from Absalom?

How old would the child of Ravne and Demon Jenny be? Could be another Cabs story?

Can someone enlighten me as to who the geezer at the end of Kingmaker is? Have we seen him before?

It's the spirit form of Ichnar the Wraith King, so that's Sauron whose physical body was defeated by the fellowship heroes and now lives on as some sort of ethereal force.

Thanks! My aged brain has trouble keeping up sometimes  ;)

Thank Grud for the upcoming glorious Absalom, I'm not really enjoying this run, though Thistlebone looks promising.

Can someone enlighten me as to who the geezer at the end of Kingmaker is? Have we seen him before? I'm also wondering how I've managed to forget so much of Scarlet Traces - has all this backstory been in the prog? I've an idea that there was another GN (that I haven't read) prior to the prog's run. I also lost interest in the previous run, so I've forgotten what happened to all the bald fellas on Venus (or was it Mars?) who seem to be about to crop up again.

Dredd - nice idea, but McConville never really does it for me.

If that sounds a bit grumpy, well I'm glad some folk are really digging the prog just now!

Thanks Jimbo. I'd forgotten most of that. I always found it a bit unsatisfying and hard to follow week by week. Looking forward to reading it collected.

The Stickleback volume contains:

Mother London
England's Glory
London's Burning
Twas The Night Before Christmas

Exactly 200 pages of strip, by my count.

How much more Stickleback is left after this? I can only recall the follow up when
he is resurrected then revealed to be S Holmes at the end
- or did this take place over more than one book?

Still no prog in CalHab. Judging by the lack of reviews on here, I guess I'm not the only one. Maybe Tharg will knock another 50% off shop purchases  ;) ?

Was about to go for Brink 3 and Luke Kirby, then realised the next Casefiles is out at the end of the month...

The prog's not really doing it for me at the moment. The Dredd was OK but most of this story has been a generic gangster tale that hasn't really grabbed me. Scarlet Traces - have we seen these characters before? If we have I've forgotten them, and if we haven't, then I struggle to see why I should care about them after just a couple of episodes. What happened to the main characters from previous series? Max Normal I find too wordy, Kingmaker is fine, and the less said about the FS the better.
So I'm marking time until the next clear out - next prog may prove an interesting diversion.

Skip Tracer - I'm confused. Can anyone tell me how he disarms the bomb, and then somehow sends another (the same?) bomb to the baddies' HQ?

For me , the Prog Cover was good - and it does the job intended -
its makes you aware that my favourite strip ( apart from Strontium Dog ) is back , Jaegir

For me it doesn't do that job at all well. I didn't find the Nort logo at all obvious, just a blur of colours. And using red on black for the word Jaegar meant that it didn't stand out for me. I'm a long time subber, so I'm buying it anyway, but if I were a casual reader and a Jaegar fan I'd be in danger of not noticing this on the rack.

Not a great prog for me.

Dredd - how can 2 holograms fight each other? Not keen on the art.     2/5
Brink - brilliant as ever, though Bridge seems to have had a gun pointing at her for several weeks now. Glad we're heading for the resolution.      4/5
Skip - as has been said, standard 90s fodder.     2/5
3filler - whatever.          2/5
Fiends - this is well done, but not really my thing.      3/5

Looking forward to Thistlebone. Do we know what's replacing Brink, which can't have much more left?
