Messages - Rogue Judge

The Hunters Club also comes to mind, "an illegal organisation dedicated to the murder of random citizens". Although they kill people randomly, they were sponsored for their murders during the Death Aid event.

Lots of beauts there, surprisingly more Slaine than Dredd apparel!

I like how creative these logos are, especially the RESYK and CITI-DEF T-SHIRT's. Those, and a 2000AD baseball T are my favorites.

I strongly disagree. He calls them on not following the law.

Disagree with which? As said, I was being a little cheeky; Dredd does not act outside the established law but seems to act outside the established hierarchy (as demonstrated, when necessary).

When challenging Chief Judge Mcgruder (who is in authority over him) about Mechanismo, he was calling her out for the potential dangers and ethics of a robot judge, not necessarily the legality of the issue.

I'm sure he's eating cake somewhere

Likely a Munce based cake with no sugar, of course  ;)

THE PROPER RANK STRUCTURE IN THE MC 1 JUSTICE DEPT.:

Judge Dredd (he is the law)
                                                                       l
                                                              Everybody Else

A cheeky response, but Dredd is top dog and seems to have authority outside of the established hierarchy. Where I am currently reading (just finished CF#20) it appears that whatever actions Dredd takes is the law and everyone else comes second. He constantly tells off Chief Judge Mcgruder (especially over Mechanismo etc.) and she takes it because he is Dredd (with all his authority and experiences). I'm not sure if he has had this relationship with Chief Judges since. He occasionally tells off the SJS and overthrew Judge Cal (justifiably). Regardless of the established structure Dredd is the law...

This was to be a follow up for my entry in the 40th Art Comp, but alas ran out of time etc...

Tharg, escaping the clutches of The Law ("Quaquem Blag! I'm free!" - "Halt, green lawbreaker scum!")  whilst on his quest for a piss after the 40th celebrations.
Finished version would have included Judge Death leaving the lavvy, and suggesting to 'leave it another 40 yearssss', and Ro-Jaws chowing down on Death's dead fluids.

Yeah, probably best I never finished it... :-\

Fantastic Woolly! Everything you had planned sounds great, I think you need to see those ideas through  - too funny not to! Especially Death...

Awesoe work Darren!  I especially like your color work - the addition of the green lighting is very creative.

And I like your style Bolt! Great inking on your Dredd

You should be. It is a superb little film.

I'm having my brother (who is just getting into 2000 AD) and a friend over to watch it when it is released. Will stream it though the Chrome Cast to the big screen to maximize the thrill power! (Neither of them have seen Judge Minty so we will be watching that as the encore).

A quick update for those following our progress.

Yes! Honestly enough I'm looking forward to this more than any Hollywood releases this summer!

I guess I should have mentioned Dredd vs Death before,so let me sidetrack there. Its a perfectly average game.

I hadn't heard of this game before now, but you've got me thinking...with the release of Rogue Trooper Redux coming out, I wounder if a game like this could be remastered and released on current systems? Could be its just too old however. I would prefer a new (GTA type open world) Dredd game but will take what I can get!

Both of the Strontium Dog audios from Big Finish are well worth a listen. You haven't lived until you've heard the Gronks in all their glory. :P

Thanks for the recommendation - I am very curious to hear what a Gronk sounds like, I have a good idea in my head but could be way off!

If you've listened to the Everything Comes Back to 2000AD podcast then you'll recognise some of it from the intro...

I haven't listened to this podcast - I've only recently got into podcasts recently, starting with The 2000 AD Thrill-Cast. I listened to the last few and they provide some great interviews/info/zarjaz... I will have to give this one a shot!

Yeah, I was not pleased how easily he handled Alpha (I'm not sure who would win honestly - its a Hulk vs Thor situation).

Ah you do too know!  It's Joe every time - Johnny has the fancy powers, relative youth and high tech gadgetry

Just look at the contrast between how the men reacted when they had their eyes gouged out in a hell dimension!

Alpha is a dilettante of death, Dredd is the full-time grandmaster.

You make a strong argument sir!  No question Dredd wins hand-to-hand, I was considering Alpha's time-bombs/gadgetry that would make it difficult for Dredd - Electronux to the chin would even give ol' stoney face weak knees. (Like Superman vs Batman - its really a no contest unless Batman gets to use his tech).

This is what I love about this place! Where else could you debate which of two characters would win a fight by comparing their respective reactions to being blinded by demons in another dimension?

My thoughts exactly!

Congrats guys! And thanks to everyone for their efforts this month, always enjoyable!

This is very exciting! I have never played the original (hadn't discovered thrill power at the time) so I will get this without a doubt. What kind of multiplayer mode did this game have? It would be great to have a Call of Duty type multiplayer with customizable Genetic Infantrymen and Norts.
