I reckon they probably won't. They'll probably do the Cursed Earth Uncensored in softcover but I don't know if they would go back and include it in the Case Files.

Having said that they did a special hardback version of Volume 1 so if they did another of those they could include all the Cursed Earth (as well as all the covers as not all were included in the Uncensored hardback).

One thing that's puzzled me, I, like others, I'm sure had wondered if the Fast Food Wars would have been restored to Cursed Earth, but it wasn't.  I know there was the whole lawsuit side, but I thought that sort of thing was allowed when used as parody, or did they just decide back then it wasn't worth the bother for such a small segment?

The Mega Collection edition of The Cursed Earth came out some months before the recent 'Cursed Earth Uncensored' hardback. The latter re-instated the Burger Wars stories as well as the ones with the Jolly Green Giant.

Welcome aboard and can I be the first to say "Book 'em, Danno!".

Bet no one says that in Hawaii.

Volume 1 is my favourite toilet book, perfect for dipping into.

The pages would get wet!

Hilarious. Enjoyed that.

I'm dubious about this. I'm not a big fan of JJ's TV output (Lost, Alcatraz etc).

Yul Brynner was great in the original movie. Part of what made it work was that he looked and dressed just like he did in The Magnificent Seven. For me he was a better robot baddie than The Terminator.

Watch the movie then stick on Logan's Run and Capricorn One for a great 1970's sci-fi extravaganza.

I didn't like the first episode at all and was starting to get worried for Red Dwarf.

The second episode changed all that though and was really good with a few very funny moments.

Its possible they could relaunch the series and reprint other 2000 AD stories or some of the classic IPC acquisitions.

That figure looks incredible although its a bit outside my price range at the minute. Part of me still thinks the uniform should be blue as well.

Just had a thought -- who owns One-Eyed Jack? If Rebellion now have it, it would be awesome to have a new story by Wagner.

I was wondering this also. I would love to see this all reprinted. Excellent art by John Cooper.

I suspect though that Rebellion don't own him as he was created for Valiant (albeit he was created in the 1970's). My understanding was that any characters created for Valiant were not owned by Rebellion. Would be great if that was not the case though.

I am stunned at the level of support for Hilary Robinson.

For me she was always part of the 'dark age' of 2000 AD for that led to me giving up on it for some time. I would re-read some of her old stories right now except I've put them in a place which is really awkward to get at.

According to Thrill-Power Overload (p.136), the court ruling Robinson obtained decreed that she owns Medivac 318, Zippy Couriers, and Chronos Carnival. Molcher told Laura Sneddon that Robinson owned all three strips and that those first two contained characters Robinson originated elsewhere.

I haven't read any of the Hilary Robinson stories since they first appeared in the late 80's. I don't have fond memories of them though. I group her in with Michael Fleisher in that respect. I will have to dig out my old progs and have a re-read though.

I think they could have picked a better Brendan McCarthy illustration for the front cover of that book. Seems a strange choice. I also don't really think of him as a Dredd artist. I remember him doing part of Oz and the Atlantis story and but that's probably just because they recently featured in the Mega Collection.

I've loved both seasons of Fargo.

I think the ending to the penultimate episode of season 2 was maybe going a bit far but loved it overall.

Thanks for the post of Kim Raymond. I can remember him now as well as the Cadet Dekker stories.

Books & Comics / Re: World of Tanks (Ennis & Ezquerra)

I love the game. Helps if you have an interest in tanks and don't have the quick reflexes for games like Call of Duty. The game is quite fun though and its not a 'forklift simulator' type.
