The Spoin Kop real name is Spioenkop which if you translate it literally means spy-head.

I know it related to a battle during the Boer War so interesting to have the insight of a 'local' - not sure now near you are to Ladysmith?

It is about 400km from where I am staying, Centurion. The only reason why I know about this is that we "won" but it was right in the beginning of the Second Anglo-Boer War. At the end the bigger result was inevitably.

Hawk the Slayer .... No idea if this would appeal to those who don't know / don't like HtS but it's awesome by me.

Well I watch the movie and it could not have left me with a great impression of it I can not remember anything about it but the story so far is just great. So I think you do not need to like or even remember it just read it
