Tyranny Rex was a character I never could get into. I never had a problem with Hicklenton's art on Nemesis, strange macabre and completely different from the rest.

A good prog again this week.

A very good Dredd, good script (no comments on who is who and nobody cares), good art.

Scarlet Traces is something than needs to be re-read when it is complete. Very enjoyable.

I agree with your take on Strontium Dog with Harrison on art duty. I know a few people like his art but his work I could never get into (even when I recently re-read Strontium Dog). The whole Rogue Hit-saga was a complete mess and it was almost nobody know how to do a proper Rogue story and direction. It felt that when Finley-Day left they should have sunset Rogue.

more info and the solicits for september i wonder about that thirteenth floor trade....

That's an odd listing. There's nowhere near enough material in the two Adams/Stokes/Irving strips published so far to make up a trade, but the solicitation text certainly makes it sound like this is a trade collection of the new Thirteenth Floor strip.

Mistake in the solicitation? Or has there been more material commissioned from that team to fill out a collection?

I think the Thirteenth Floor is the special that will be released later this year, "Scream & Misty Present : The Thirteenth Floor"

Looking forward to the return of Brink,Defoe and Hope

Just finished the second part of Mind Wars, the story itself is quite generic but still enjoyable. The highlight is the art of Redondo.

Really hope they collect Doomlord. Does anyone know if they have the rights for that?

Adding to this, read this article : https://downthetubes.net/?p=101020

We all wish for this to happen but unfortunately the Dan Dare Corporation has all the right to the stories that was published in the New Eagle. The exception was all stories that came from other publication that merged with Eagle. Like One-Eyed Jack came from Battle/Valiant Thirteen Floor from Scream etc.

Got mine and it's great.

The deceased creator at his desk surrounded by his creations is becoming a bit of a cliche but Robinson and Teague pulled it off for Carlos in great style.

Tharg's £20 for all the specials, post paid, has been a great offer - no doubt I'd have otherwise missed one throughout the year - instead it's regular surprise time!

Hopefully this offer will be repeated each year.

I can't seem to find the creator at his desk pic in the digital version. Is that print only?

No it its not, I bought the digital version

A very good Meg this month, covered with a great wrap-around cover

Dredd – Excellent start to a new Dredd story. I must admit that when I first saw Lynch art, I did not like it but his style has won me over.

Lawless – Another excellent story coming to an end (but it will be back). The whole story worked for me and I like the way that Abnett used the concept of "time-travel" where Lawson did not go to the future but rather experience a choice she could make.

Diamond Dogs – It is to early to judge but the story has a good start and looks interesting.

The Returners – I enjoyed the first series so hopefully this one will life up to the standard that was set. I do like the art on this one as well.

Dark Judges – This was an excellent series with awesome art from Pervical. As we all know you can never keep the Dark Ones at bay.

@ Nick Percival, I found your depiction of the Dark Judges excellent. Hopefully we can see you work return soon in the Meg
