Quote from: Barrington Boots on 01 March, 2023, 09:51:55 AMThe Order for the first time in this series I find myself a bit lost. It's pulpy fun, but it's not hugely engaging. Tharg comments in the letters page that the current run is finishing this month, so we must have another series of this to come surely?

In the nerve centre of prog 2317 Tharg said: ....and we return to the edge of time for the final arc of Kek-W and John Burn's history-spanning series The Order.

Another good prog and aren't we spoiled this year by great covers so far. Jock delivers a smashing Dredd cover.

Dredd – This story reminds me an old Wagner/Grant/Dillion story the Hunters Club (prog 409). Another solid start to a new arc from Niemand. I have theory and I will see how it pans out – [SPOILERS]the old man is still alive, and he is busy with a cheaper retrenchment deal and only the strongest will survive and kept[/SPOILERS].

PS- do anyone know how to do a spoiler tag

The Out – What a wild goose chase of an episode but the beaty of this episode is more the banter. Just a joy to read although it really does not push the plot forward.

Joe Pineapples – Blackblood, so no more

The Order – We all live in a yellow submarine as our heroes' do the time-warp again to take the battle directly to the enemy.

Proteus Vex – The plot thickens as new alliances are forge. Brilliant stuff from the creative team.

Quote from: Jim_Campbell on 26 February, 2023, 01:49:26 PMWell, I have to say: I have no idea what all the sniffy reviews are on about. Quantumania is fine, in fact it's pretty good.

That is the reason why I actually start to do the opposite, if the movie critics love it I ignore it if the hate it I make a point of seeing it. This is working like a charm.

Quote from: nxylas on 25 February, 2023, 02:00:45 PMI just found out yesterday that niemand is Dutch for nobody. Sorry if everybody already knew this.

Actually Afrikaans, the direct translation in Dutch is no one. It is also a surname in Afrikaans

From Kenneth Niemand's twitter:

They said it couldn't be done, but mostly they said it shouldn't be done.  The sequel to Grinder, aka 'Dredd vs a street bin'.

"This time, it's portaloos."

A good birthday prog and all strips deliver with only one just phoning it in.

Dredd – A good one-shot but this feels like real life where you done something (yes, I am talking about work) so many times you can not even recall the first time and it has become repetitive.

Joe Pineapples – Great art as always, the story certainly not that engaging for me.

The Out – So Cyd journey as a girl-on-the-run has started. It is always fascinating to see where Abnett will take her journey next, brilliant as always.

The Order – Looks like we now are moving towards the grand showdown. My favorite new saying: Trojan Octopus.

Proteus Vex – Brilliant just brilliant. Vex continues to deliver the goods and Midnight delivers the perfect ending to this episode: Vive la revolution.

Yes I think I am more excited and intrigued my Azimuth. The last few years Dabnett has produced some of the most awesome thrills ever, if this was cricket he would have scored 100s in all his innings.
