Quote from: Max Headroom on 13 February, 2023, 07:07:48 PMI am hoping this comes about. But more than that I would really like Pat to finish 'Defoe'. Maybe there is hope for all parties to be reconciled now and Mr Mills to write more stuff?
It seems to have been dissatisfaction with Tharg's choice of artist on Defoe that led Pat to create Spacewarp, so that he could choose his own artists. So I won't hold my breath.

Colin MacNeil or Stewart Kenneth Moore? because Stewart Kenneth Moore was chosen by Pat if I am not mistaken

I agree Colin hopefully this can become the next monthly or at least a yearly 5 issue release

Hey - thanks for the encouragement. I've just written to 2000AD to see if they're up for it

A good prog

Dredd – This was a more straight-forward Dredd story find the fugitive, fight the fugitive and finally capture the fugitive.  This closes down the threads of the Red Queen and open new ones.

The Out – Cyd the great escape as things get heated and Cyd uses everything at her disposal to get away and even troughs in the kitchen-sink (for our brave readers a Fiat) for good measures. A great read as always.

Joe Pineapples – What do you see? A pretty butterfly (no man that was The Out)

The Order – The battle for survival continues has the crew fights not only for Le Victoire but also for the mortal body (soul) of Franklin. Absorbing stuff

Proteus Vex – The intrigue continues as the story focus on Tsellest and then back to Midnight. Some interesting occurrences as Midnight as usual steal the show. Great story, great art just top-notch.

Some more from Pat Mills twitter:

You're right, I should! May be tricky - firstly, to see if 2000AD will be interested, And secondly, to see who would draw it. Maybe Clint Langley. Maybe someone else. Somehow it's not as easy as it once was, but I live in hope. Thanks for the prompt.

I still cannot see the paper version as available but in my case I believe it is due to my location. I am outside the UK.

At the end it boils down what sell progs and what does not. I am sure getting it out there that Flesh is back might bring people back as well. I am sure irrespective of what we as forum-dwellers like or not I am sure Joe Pineapples is a seller.

Quote from: wedgeski on 13 February, 2023, 01:46:06 PMDepends what you mean by 'hit'. Just a quick perusal of page 1 of Empire's review list (https://www.empireonline.com/movies/reviews/) shows there are plenty of original movies being made.

I am more talking about a massive hit that is not a comic book or a direct sequel

From Pat Mills twitter related to a Flesh return:

I've still got the final series to write, featuring Gorehead.  Got rather distracted doing other stuff.  Not sure if Rebellion still want it, but if readers do that will help. Love that gif!!

From a completeness perspective I would like Flesh to get a final book.

The Menu waited for something interesting to happen then the end credit rolled up. Another Disney+ entry Wakanda was really not that good and I am getting tired of all these superhero movies. MCU and DC-verse are really sucking out the originally in movies. When will we have another original movie hit not linked to either a sequel or a comic-book character? (The exception for me will be another Dredd movie)

The exact point when this was revealed was the second series "The Shadow Chancellor" prog 2221 the last page. The whole second series was basically the undercovering of war-crimes.
