Conrad and Fox,
I enjoyed the Case Files collection no. 5 over the weekend especially when Conrad said something along the lines of:

(loud voice) and The Dark Judges are defeated for ever!!
(fast disclaimer voice) Judge Death with return in 1985

Gave me a chuckle lol

now listening to "I am the Law" by The Human League

Here's a little look at a page from this month's Dredd, with a before/after of Ian's art and my colours.  :)

Great work Jim!!

My Top 3 for Meg 431

All of the 5 thrills in this Meg were fine but my top 3 for this issue are:

1st - Megatropolis - looking forward to this thrills return already as well as Dreadnoughts
2nd - Dredd - fun start to find out about BOB, PS don't mess with BOB
3rd - Devlin Waugh - well done Kot and team

The Elson droid's eye for character design is just amazing  [....] there's so much care and attention lavished on making them distinctive. It's a pleasure to work on these pages.

It's not that often I look at a new supporting character design and instantly want to know all about them - Midnight indicating Shame being the most recent prior example - but the Necromancer grabbed me from the first panel. And in our post-scarcity era of magical fantasy 'baddies', that's no mean feat.

Design of the characters in Feral and Foe is great for sure

My Top 3 for Prog 2231 :)

Found the future shock way too busy so the remaining 4 thrills are duking it out for my top 3 this week

1st - Thistlebone - more than one baddie now out in the open, last two issues twists galore (sorry lol) excellent short form writing that will also read great in a collection
2nd - Dredd - Easy Money indeed, rich girl realises now how the family got loaded
3rd - Feral and Foe - more of a reflective story this week

1st - Thistlebone - ramps up the drama somewhat,
prob best not to meet nut job cult peeps by yourself
2nd - Intestinauts - great fun esp amongst the darker thrills in this prog

Solid top 2 for me this prog and 3rd could go to any of the other thrills but this time I've gone with

3rd - Visions of Deadworld - humes team up, Psi Wolf was cool like to see another one in another thrill

My Top 3 for Prog 2229 :)

Same order as Prog 2228 basically for the same reasons as well

1st - Dredd - Niemand Droid and Loyal Sludge-Jock droids
2nd - Thistlebone - Art style changes for memories of the past
3rd - Feral & Foe -  You need to stay for the festival  ;) ;)

Usually don't mind the Visions of Deadworld one offs and shorts but this one didn't work for me this time

I've probably said before how I like Niemand's take on these tales: his inhabitants of MC1 are often more sympathetic, with Dredd and the judges as looming threats rather than the central protagonists. It lends things more of an optimistic and tragic air, the droids brave yet pointless stand being a good example of that. Great art, top story, top stuff.

I agree I think these Niemand Dredd's are great in the way they explore MC1 a bit more rather than just have Dredd and the judges as 'central protagonists'
