Messages - The Enigmatic Dr X

Why stop? I love this thread.

10,000 is an arbitrary threshold. A meaningless number no more symmetrical or poignant that any other. (And try typing that last sentence without a spell-checker!)

Quite like it, in a "I quite like bourbon biscuits" kind of way. ie. I would never choose to have one because there are always better alternatives.

Killer metaphor.

Why thank you. The best line like that isn't mine though. It was a PC Gamer editor who said: "I don't play Football Manager for the same reason I don't smoke crack."

I quite like Sleep as a design. Nice zombie.

You could get away with starting with the second. A bit like you could watch Empire without Star Wars.

And it's mouse and keyboard only, but not too difficult. Like Max Payne

You have removed the minifigs and therefore deserve to burn in hell.

Just take look at the Mass Effect trailers in the last game played thread. Seriously. You cannot go wrong.

You want space opera? You want RPG?

Hell, just looking at these has me reaching for the discs. Again. The Mass Effect 2 and 3 trailers (2 especially) are among the best trailers I've ever seen.

I played all three on PC with an Xbox controller (wired 360 controller - plugs straight into USB)

Dead Space. Good game but trying to navigate the control system using mouse & keys on PC proved too much.

Actually, I'm looking for a good point & click or RPG style spaceship horror type thing. Haven't been gaming for ages so even older titles would be good. Anyone got any suggestions?
How long is "ages"?
The definitive 1st person RPG style spaceship horror is System Shock 2, if you've never played it - http://store.steampowered.com/app/238210/

Actually, that looks great!

Anything else along those lines, only more modern? And more RPG, less FPS?

Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas?

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

And if you haven't played it, go for Dishonored. Can't recommend it highly enough. A bit RPG-lite but it makes up for that with oodles of atmosphere.

And you can possess people.

Wasn't the space spinner red? I think that one is from Eagle?

Machete.

Mrs X and I loved it.  Although it is a sign that you've become hardened to ultra-violence when the standout scene involves Machete trying to use a mobile.

I've been working my through some old stuff that I never quite finished today. I've been feeling poorly, so just sat in front of the Xbox (and PC).

- Alien Breed (the remakes), ep 2.
- Binary Domain (but had to turn it off when the boys came in)

I also finished Killzone Mercenary on the Vita this morning. Good fun.

We're staying here again. http://www.iakinthos.gr I think it will be about the 5th time we've stayed there.

Cracking little hotel, which is family ran and only has 13 rooms. It's slap bang on the beach in a lovely little resort called Tsilivi in Zante. It's about £40 a night b&b which is fantastic for what you get but the flight prices to the island are ridiculous for a 3 hour flight £400 plus EACH!!

Roll on June!

That looks fab! How do you get there?
