Film & TV / Re: Best "goosebump" moment in film
10 September, 2009, 02:19:51 PM
Blair Witch is the second worst film I've ever had the misfortune to sit through. Worse thatn Escape from LA (and that didn't happen).

The biggest goosebumps I've ever had from a film was the horrible momement when I realised Braveheart still had 90 tedious minutes to go and everyone else in the cinema, apart from Mrs X, thought it was really, really good.

("Do you want to go?" I asked her. "No," she replied, "everyone says it's a great film. It's got to get better.")

Mrs X has just seen this thread for the first time. "That's just filth," she said. Tsch, what does she know? It takes ages to put on body paint, so that must be art.

Loads of great stuff in this post, hats off to Dr X!

Shucks.

Thought I'd stick up a thread about 2000ad and Judge Dredd onto the board. A wacky idea, but then I'd been drinking.

ANd the second (or third) episode of Nemesis.

I think Rogue was 228. But can't be arsed to check, as I have now wasted three beers and a night of freedom on this site and am off to bed.

I read mine on a bench or in a public toilet.

We're talking about 2000ad here, right?

Hey, I never thought of that! Kingdom as sneaky Meltdown Man prequel? Hrm...

Or sequel? We don't know when Them came, do we?

There's always someone at the party reeking of the stuff. Still, don't fancy yours much. Too many feathers.

This is more like it:

Maybe it's a Scottish thing. Maybe it's my small minded sense of humour. Thing is, if someone I knew was banned from somewhere cool, why I'd deem it my very duty to make sure they missed the place.

What's the point of a ban if this place is dour and angst ridden? They're supposed to feel the pain!

We're in our 30s. We're back from the pub. It's Friday night and we're on a comics forum. Sod it, stick on some 80s rock and let's have a party. I've got the beers. Where's the burds?
