Where is it?

Come to think of it, I haven't had any post since last Thursday? Maybe it's being intercepted by the Dictators of Zrag.

I liked Synnamon. It was good.

No. If they must recylce stuff, then do non-2K material. Stuff like Preacher and Sin City was, in my book, a good idea and a fine fit with the ethos of the Meg.

I'd have thought a Groberdonk was more Trouty.

Some dodgy decisions on corners too.

Still, finish in an hour and then the rest of the day to wander the town while Mrs X works. Heh.

A Don Ugie mug is a mug what has a picture of Don Ugie on it.

Available from this very site.

The site, in fact, from which a replacement has been procured. Along with an additional Death mug (that's a mug with a picture of Judge Death on it) for drinking from.https://secure.2000adonline.com/secure/images/products/mugshot3thumb.jpg">

That's a 'triffic idea!

Something "cheap" and "replaceable" that she shoudln't be worried about losing.

Like her 28 year old teddy bear, Sweep. Come to think of it, the old boy could do with a wash at a high temperature. Not sure his stitching is up to it, but then I'm positive she would like him to be all clean...

But surely getting her winched up the stairs would be a reward?

She has, to be fair, indicated a willingness to procure a replacement.

Mrs X has broken my Don Ugie mug.

This is despite it being put in a separate cupboard from other mugs, and despite her being warned not to use it (what's mine is hers, but some things are more mine than hers).

She committed the cardinal sin of suggesting I shouldn't be bothered as it was "just something from that stupid comic."

Obviously, my first reaction is simply to banish her from the marital lab. However, I throw this open to the board. I cannot be the first to have suffered the trauma of an irreplaceable item being thrown away or destroyed.

Has anything similar happened to anyone? What did you do?

Should I, could I, forgive her?

Should you, could you, forgive them?

Hmm. As 2000ad would be the only decent English language comic, the following might happen:-

1) Grant Morrison would think twice about arguing over who owns Zenith if there was no one else to employ him.

2) Halo Jones books 3 - 9

3) Steve Dillon and Bolland would fight to illustrate the next Dredd epic.

4) There would be no more Batman crossovers (boo!)

5) There would be no more Batman films (yay!)

Before I got into 2000ad?

I spent a couple of years learning the basics (eating, sleeping, walking, talking, not using my pants as a toilet).

After that, I spent about two years getting to grips with the Roman alphabet (it was a trying time) and some ancillary life skills (mainly doing my shoelaces)

Then I got into 2000ad. My mum and dad, both teachers, were of the view that it encouraged reading.

That was 8th August 1981. I was 6 years old.http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/2000ad/mediumres/224.jpg">

Nemesis was on the C64 and spectrum.

Dredd was on the 8 bits and PS1, not sure about the Mega Drive though

What other stories were there in production for the aborted Dredd fortnightly in 1984? The only two I know of are Helltrekkers and the Anderson - Death story, both of which appeared in the comic that year and in 1985.

Were there others which were being prepared but which have never seen the light of day? Have they appeared in different forms in later years?
