Half Life 2. Been a while. Held up really well. It's enviroments are fantastic. All of gives a genuine sense of that something has gone terrible wrong. Not sure what, why or what can be done about it. Especially the empty houses along the coast. Going through those, only to find a med kit or some bullets among an old corpse or two. Really sets the scene.

If someone hasn't played this, I really recommend that person doing so.

Black Mesa is a great game. It's like a new game rather than a scene for scene remake. The intro cable car ride is muuuuch longer though.

Can't stop playing Fifa. I never knew I was a masochist.

Man, I am rubbish at it. I keep getting my arse handed to me by 15 year olds.

Just bought my eldest the 4K remaster of They Live for his Christmas.

Grumpy out of proportion that I've not had my subscription prog on a Saturday for months.

Mine is making a whirring noise when not in the dock. Bit worried.

But having fun with Runner 3, which is on sale at £8 and is highly recommended. I loved Runner 2 on the Wii U.

I've been getting my sub prog in the post on a Thursday for the last month. S'not fair.

On the speculation front, could Dredd just be playing to the watching Smiley when he publicly [spoiler]disses Hershey[/spoiler]?  I am genuinely excited to see Frank's story playing out at last, but I sort-of wish it was in his own strip, with a bit more room to breathe.

It is all good and lovely-looking fun, but I'd possibly be more engaged with The Small House if I didn't suspect every other writer will completely ignore anything currently happening, much as they did with Every Empire Falls (where Giant was in another of Dredd's secret gangs, IIRC). I retract this reservation if it turns out that there really is some shift in the status quo that is reflected in the wider strip.

This. The problem with non-Wagner Dredd is not that it's non-Wagner Dredd. The problem is that every other bugger ignores it.

GamesMaster, which started out doing cheats and irreverent reviews of SNES and Megadrive games around the time of the demise of Zzap and Your Sinclair, and so is probably the last of the irreverent hobbyist mags of the early '90s.  If nothing else, it has outlasted the neo-yob era of men's softcore porn mags like Zoo and Nuts that it arguably helped enable, so at least there's that.

It's somewhere between 40 and 90 bottles of beer that I've paid for. You go to the brewery and mix it, send them a label and they print and bottle.

It's not a business at all. It's fancy home brew.  I paid for it for a pal's 50th.

I thought an artist might fancy real beer with a label they drew. It is wholly a one off.

I wouldn't be so rude as to ask for a freebie for a business.

I was wondering if any artist type fancied doing me a beer label?

Two mates and I went to a "brew your own" thing in a local craft brewery (Drygate in Glasgow) and now have 40-60 litres of bespoke beer fermenting away. It should - should - taste like a cross between Peroni and Punk IPA. It will be ready in mid-December.

It will be bottled. We need to prepare a label. I'm awaiting a blank template. The label needs to have certain legal warnings on it, as it is proper pukka stuff, so you need all the nonsense about drinking sensibly. The brewery will provide those.

So, is anyone kind enough to draw up a label? Your reward is a slice of the beer (amount determined by the volume produced!), bottled and with your label on it.

The beer's name is "The Sundry Guest".
