Oops!
Really thought it looked like a panel from Bolland's past work. Oh well hope Henry Flint isn't too upset having his work confused with a master who I'm sure we would all like to see back on 2k.

Scojo, you're just jealous they didn't pick you to model them!
What next for the mighty Tharg?
Now we know he's into modelling will we be seeing him in a series of "specialist" films?
After all there must be a reason why he is called the "Mighty One"

Gotta say most of this very expensive - ?1 each for a postcard!!! Posters are reasonable value for money though not as large as I expected them to be.

However very interested in the new Brian Bolland T-shirt and that it replaces the Beanie Hat as free to subscribers.

So if I upgrade my subscription from just 2k to 2k and the Meg do I get the new t-shirt free?

Give it time. It did take a while to get going and I did wonder what was going on for most of the first section of the book. Read it in about three days while on holiday last year. When I eventually finished - at a very ungodly hour of the night/morning. I had to go for a walk and sit by the bar for about two hours just to calm myself down from the intensity of the ending to the story. I was very emotional and had lokked at the reviews in the book after about page 150 and wondered what all the fuss had been about. When I finished I realised that the strong reviews for the book didn't do it justice. It is a fantastic read. Strongly recommend you try it again

If you want to read a great war story - full of emotion that doesn't focus on blood and guts but has a genuine story then try reading Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks. This would be very difficult to adapt to TV movies or comics because of the huge number of threads in the story but for the largest section on World War One there is a story that could be borrowed from for a great 2k story line.

It's also the only book I'v read which really made me appreciate the author's clever use of the English Language - sounds dull but there are so many throw away sentences buried in paragraphs. Sentences of only 10-20 words long but say 10,000 things to the reader.
Brilliant
Surprised it hasn't got into the online survey

Yes, but how do you know????
Ok the Hit series was utter Shite, but Cinnabar - the flashback story was excellent with great art from Kev Walker. If this is going to be a flaskback series (as Cinnabar) was this is the only Rogue Trooper story I have looked forward to since the War Machine ended. Please say its not a wind up.

As for the War Story people want - Bad Company/Glimmer Rats minus the Sci-Fi then?
Set on earth
Present Day or recent past
bit like MASH??????????! God NO

Quite liked Clint Langley's art actually, but not the scripts for his work.
Probably in the minority again!

I think you'll find that the rebel alliance have hidden their plans in...
did you get that?
I sent it using the power of my mind.

What you didn't?

Oh no we're all going to die

(probably the most sensible thing and the most true thing I have ever said on here)

Wake,
what a great guy. Within a few days he has picked up on all my little problems I was having (well maybe not those problems) and sorted them out whilst delivering a much improved chat room which no-one used to use, and getting the site so it rocks like it should on my PC.

Many thanks for a superb job Wake
The 2000AD online community is a much better place for all the work you put in.

Rebellion lets have a Wakefield Carter block in Judge Dredd (or has it been done? and I missed it)
crawling over now
thanks
