i've just had the same issues with NTL and spent some time frigging about with my router and set-top box to see what the problem was...

most of the time it seems to fix itself after i've rebooted a couple of times, but i reckon this is largely due to coincidence

you should do what i did... ring them up to tell them you're leaving because of financial and reliability issues (i did this when i was made redundant). i got an free upgrade for 6 months to see if it made me feel any different

i was listening to Mark Kermode's film review and he was so vehemently dead against it that it may well be worth seeing... then again it's got nicholas cage in it, so maybe not

i had a subdued-ish expo due to a bad bad hangover on the friday and the footy on the saturday with it's associated stress...

in addition i:

Arrived in Bristol, to be greeted at the Upper Crust sandwich stall by a Gary Wilkinson doppelganger who looked in my direction as if he recognised me and waved as he disappeared down the steps to the passage under the station concourse

Gary Wilkinson??? is that some sort of compliment?

i'm looking for reassurance here - surely i won't be the only messageboard geek who will be wanting to take a couple of hours out of the saturday to watch the mighty liverpool beat middlesbrough or west ham in the fa cup final?

i'm quietly confident that mssrs timson, molcher and redding would rather gouge their eyes than sit through 2hours of me effing and jeffing at a television screen, but it would be nice to know if there'll be others interested
