Complicated question.
At the current moment "goth" is generally used to describe people who listen to "nu metal"/rock/heavy metal/not pop music.  It also has a usage for people who wear black lots/lots of eyeshadow etc.
To return to its original usage however it's pre 17th century classical music.  The whole idea of "modern" goth appeared during a Victorian revival of the fashion ala Dracula/Frankenstein.
Nowadays true goth music is closely related to the darkwave scene.  In general it's pretty melancholy stuff and subdued, however that's not to say some of it's damned good.  This website gives you a good list of various bands in this area.

In short "goth" is one fo the hardest things to define since its used for lots of different conflicting things now.

I see one of the exceptions has villified itself.  Now I shall stop before bringing horror upon us with other unmentionables.

Having been away from the board for a few days I thought I might as well jump on the bandwagon.

This site is not anti-US, people here are anti-US in different ways.  Each of us here has our own political/moral/ethical beliefs and these effect how we see US, everyone is welcome here if they're from US or outside of US, if they voted for and like Bush or if they voted for Kerry.  This isn't a political site, it's a comics site where real-life sometimes seeps in.  

I'm anti-US in that the whole country itself is pretty fucked up, even more so than here, and THAT is saying something.  Any American you meet here is unusual for holding a passport and usually will be a relativly nice person.  Not all Americans are assholes, in the same way that not all Brits are chavs.  As everyone has said the fact this was a "first & last" post has got our backs up for not letting us discuss this.  All of us here will dissagree with others on the board, but I can say that I don't know of anyone here who dislikes/hates a person for their own views/beliefs (with notable exceptions which everyone knows)

Socialism - something that obviously *doesn't* exist in US.
Commies - US will defend us from commie menace so long as the commies won't let them in to "make an honest buck" like China.

Dear Mr Short,
This thing seems to happen when firefox/mozilla/netscape shutdown unexpectedly.  Basically it buggers something up so they think you're still logged in.  The easiest way to fix it is just to reboot and next time you run it it will revert to "default" profile and give you back all your bookmarks etc.

Now all you Micro$oft junkies take note! Firefox beats IE hands down, plus it's "free" software.  I highly recomend it to one and all (plus it does tabbed browsing)
