So my copy turned up yesterday and it really is a thing of exquisite beauty!!!

A fascinating historical examination of the medium and lavishly illustrated, it will serve as an essential reference guide in the future.

Worth buying for the glorious art on display alone!!!

The lockdown screenings continue with the agreeable potboiler Best Seller, starring everyone's favourite slease ball James Woods playing this time a slease ball ex hitman alongside Brian Dennehy as a cop, moonlighting as a novelist, who Woods approaches with an idea for book, involving corporate corruption and murder.

Woods is suitably sleazy and Dennehy suitably grizzled in what amounts to a buddy movie with most the enjoyment coming from the clash of opposing moral compasses.
The plot is fairly perfunctory stuff, but it is surprisingly cruel and violent at times with a nice line in bleak cynicism.
The chemistry between the two leads manages to lift the film above merely average.

It's a known issue; given the nature of what's currently going on in the world, it may take some time to be rectified, and so please be patient.

That's cool, as long as it's been acknowledged!

- Celtic warrior Slaine returns for the first book of the 'Dragontamer' saga, 'The Web of Weird'!

Pretty sure Nakka of the S.T.A.R.S is Brendan McCarthy's new strip. 

Mine turned up today too, as part of the specials bundle, looking forward to diving in!!! 

I can confirm that this song didn't influence our own tribute to fictions greatest lawman, but I like it!!!   

So I log into my account and I have two 50% discounts - one runs out in August, so better get that gone....

But how? It talks about a voucher code, but all I can see are two boxes that tell me what the discount is for and when it runs out - no code?

I'm pretty sure that it takes it off immediately if it's a qualifying purchase. 

Well it was better, but a bit dull. And while idea of mirrorings Tesla's relationship with Edison had potential it was all a bit meandering and events lurched from one thing to the next. Even giant scorpions running amok in turn of the century New York couldn't save it - and that's a sentence no one should have to write. If giant scorpions running amok through New York doesn't make something worth watching folks making the giant scorpions run amok need to take a good long look at themselves. Its like the writers / directors have lost the ability to craft a thread through a well paced and structured story. Just basics really.

Such a shame as the performances were excellent with what they had. And I'd love to see a season of Tesla traveling with the Doctor, fella-me-laddio who played him was excellent I thought.

Yeah, Goran Višnjić's commanding performance as Tesla really threw into stark contrast just how flat and stilted some of the other performances were in this episode, he was easily the best thing in it.
An improvement over last weeks, with some nice production values, but still rather plodding.
