Out of curiosity, what style is the art? Has Coleby just gone for typical Dredd, or is it more in the style of early Dredd (smaller eagle pad, and so on)?

I teach English Lit at a Sixth Form College and have been chosen to be a giver this year - so, I shall be targetting 16 - 19 year old boys (mostly) who think reading is boring (and I have one reserved for CF)!

I think it was just the tendency to reduce Dredd to an 80s action movie character.

Yeah, I didn't mind the odd Dredd story taking that approach but I wouldn't have wanted the character to carry on in that direction.
Thankfully John Wagner returned to the fold soon after and normality was resumed.

That was really good, although we've seen that Wagner clip in at least two of the other extras.

I was bemused by Mark Millars comments.  Maybe I have rosetinted specs, or can't remember the episodes he wrote.  Can someone name a few of the Dredd stories he did please, so I can go back and have a re-read?

Purgatory and Book Of The Dead are just two stories that have caused fans apoplexy, though I never had a huge problem with them.

I seriously can't believe i'm the only one who considers Stickleback "Thrill of the week" material. It's freaking ace at the moment!

Thanks, Dweezil - glad you enjoyed it! I'll be on Jennifer Blood until at least issue #35: delivered the script for #31 last week, and the artwork is already coming in for #30, so we're pretty far ahead of schedule!
