Like many of you from the board, I've been following this production from its infancy and today with the release of the clip I've experienced something of a surreal feeling.

I can't believe we're, by the looks of it, getting a Dredd film we can be proud of.

I really never thought I'd see the day!

Is it all a dream?

Totally agree Joe! I actually had tears rolling down my face when the Phantom Menace trailer ran before The Siege or Prince Of Egypt back in '99 as it transported me back to seeing Star Wars back in '77. The nostalgia rush just swept me along!

Of course when I finally saw the film my tears were of a very different kind!

Somebody pinch me-I think I'm having a deliriously exciting dream! No on second thoughts don't pinch me I don't want to wake up!

Come on Thursday!

The last time I felt this way, strangely enough, was when the first teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode 1 was released..

Jock did a poster for the Raid as well.
Which is being used as the cover to the ltd. edition steel book release I think

Here's hoping for an HMV/Play/Amazon Dredd steelbook from Jock then!

Ok. I've been umming and ahhing for months now and the triple whammy of The avengers, Prometheus and mostly Dredd means I've finally bitten the bullet and bought a 3D TV ans Blu-ray player!

Just wondered, Anyone else hoping to upgrade their old sets in hope that Dredd will be the perfect showcase for a 3D Home Cinema?

Fingers crossed or I'll be round Pete Travis' house for a refund!  ;)

I hate musicals, the film was cheesy as hell, most of the "humour" was obvious and for the most part fell flat, but despite all these factors working against it, I actually enjoyed the sheer exuberance of it all.

A case of so bad it was good!

And it did make me feel nostalgic for the period and my glam metal days, before grunge tore up the rule- book.

That's "futuristic" obviously.

Karl Urban & Olivia Thirlby really do look the part. As for the 'extras', given what we've seen of the city and vehicles, did people expect the cits to look like something from the Jetsons? ;)

Roll on September.

Stew.

Also self drying jackets and Nike self tying trainers might work when used for humorous effect in Back To The Future, but not so in a gritty action film like Dredd.
And nothing dates a film more than a failed attempt at projected fashion design.
The retro futurisic look works fine for me.

My eduring memory of Download 2012 will be mud!

Had a fantastic time though-Soundgarden and Black Sabbath being highlights!

Soundgarden especially as I was down to see them at reading '94 before they decided to split!

Great to see someone dressed in a homemade dredd outfit too-hope they made it to the Anthrax set!

Just back from Download festival so very late to the party but that teaser poster is minimalist beauty and those accompanying images are perfect!

I can not wait!!! :D
