A sharp-edged teeth piranhas dances with a small girl at the bottom of a ravine.

I'm turning into Alan Moore!

Dudley, could you explain for those of us not 'in the loop' what this thread's about?

to be precise, I'm with Larf and I don't think B&K is funny.
Though, it is very clever in places and there have been far worse things in the prog.

I agree with larf here. But is the debate cool because it's so heated, or heated in a cool way?

I've walked past Robert Vaughan. I only knew it was him because afterwards I heard people saying 'that was Robert Vaughan, that was'.

I've been in a question and answer session with John Howard. Now he's Australia's worst Prime Minister ever, but then he was just an evil junior politician, busy being dishonest to a roomful of sycophants (plus me and one courageous dissenter who asked him some hard questions)

I've met Harlan Ellison, which is relevant to any thread involving swearing or ego-mania

Books & Comics / Re: 2000AD References.

One of the Ian Rankin Rebus books has a reference to a woman's ex-boyfriend who was always reading 2000AD

creasing is unvavoidable if the book is read. The only solution is to buy another book, get a bigger book in the first place, or to not read the thing

I'm a helm fan.
By the way, is this game any good on a plain old PC?

assuming your question is serious, I think the purpose is to let people who can't be bothered/don't know how to make a web page make something like a web page and try to make new friends, preferably with pert nipps. The band thing seems to have developed later.
Myspace has just been purchased by evil ex-Australian Rupert Murdoch, who has a myspace page (not a serious one).

I realise that the people who do small press work aren't paid for it. However if it's appearing in the Meg, it's making money and they should be paid for that, regardless of ownership/copywright matters.
Not that my opinion on this matters; I'll buy the Meg if it's good enough and it's up to the creators to worry about payment and such like.

I'm all for new and interesting stuff in the Meg, which this could well be.  I think of course they should pay them for it. If something's published, it should be paid for.

the lack of apostrophes is simply a typographical convention - at least I think it was. If their absence concerns you, you can always add your own. It's nice to know someone reads my work closely enough to notice.
As for my virginity, I dealt with that satisfactorily a long time ago, when I was 30.

Website and Forum / odd thread query response
21 March, 2006, 01:30:03 AM
what I mean is this; when I click on the 'view messages by' to see if there have been any answers to my posts, I used to get the most recent posts first. Now I get a series of ancient, 2003 posts. Is it the website or is it just me? Can it be changed?
